Medivation, Inc. (NASDAQ: MDVN) 67.5% LOWER; Pfizer Inc. (NYSE: PFE) and Medivation today announced results from two Phase 3 trials of the investigational drug dimebon (latrepirdine*) in patients with Alzheimer's disease. In the CONNECTION trial, dimebon did not meet its co-primary or secondary efficacy endpoints compared to placebo. Co-primary endpoints were measures of cognition and global function. The stock was also downgraded at Hapoalim and Roth Capital.
SouthWest Water Company (NASDAQ: SWWC) 48.2% HIGHER; entered into a definitive merger agreement to be acquired for approximately $275 million in cash, or $11.00 per share, by institutional investors advised by J.P. Morgan Asset Management and Water Asset Management L.L.C.
VisionChina Media (NASDAQ: VISN) 36.7% LOWER; reports Q4 EPS of $0.08, inline with the analyst estimate of $0.08. Revenue for the quarter was $31.8 million, which compares to the estimate of $32 million. Sees Q1 sales of at least $22 million. The Street is looking for Q1 sales of $38.40 million. The stock was downgraded at both Oppenheimer and Piper Jaffray.
Trintech Group plc (NASDAQ: TTPA) 34% HIGHER; reports Q4 EPS of $0.06, compared to $0.01 in the same quarter last year. Revenue for the quarter was $7.88 million, which compares to the estimate of $7.90 million.
UFP Technologies Inc. (NASDAQ: UFPT) 31.6% HIGHER; reports Q4 EPS of $0.45, versus the analyst estimate of $0.22. Revenue for the quarter was $29 million, which compares to the estimate of $28.20 million.

Andatee China Marine Fuel Services Corporation (NASDAQ: AMCF) 23.1% HIGHER; reports Q4 EPS of $0.28. Revenue for the quarter was $39 million, versus $14.3 million in Q408. Net income was $1.7 million for the quarter, compared to a loss of $836,838 million for Q408.
Ethan Allen (NYSE: ETH) 19.6% HIGHER; the Chairman and CEO Farooq Kathwari made comments at an investor conference last night. The exec said written sales (orders) for the two months ended February 28, 2010, have increased approximately 25% over prior year.
Archipelago Learning (NASDAQ: ARCL) 11.7% LOWER; reports Q4 EPS of $0.11, 1 cents below the analyst estimate of $0.12. Revenue for the quarter was $12 million, which compares to the estimate of $11.87 million. Archipelago Learning sees FY10 EPS $0.44-$0.48, versus the consensus of $0.47. Sees FY10 sales of $56-$59 million, versus the consensus of $55.7 million.
LCA-Vision (Nasdaq: LCAV) 11.2% LOWER; Maxim Group downgrades the stock from Hold to Sell. Price target $5.
