Unusual 11 Mid-Day Movers 2/18: MIPI, ZNT, TXCC, INTT, NMTI Higher; XNPT, CSCX, DEPO, TRMA Lower

XenoPort, Inc. (Nasdaq: XNPT) 66.6% LOWER; GlaxoSmithKline (NYSE: GSK) and XenoPort announced they have received a Complete Response letter from the FDA regarding the New Drug Application for Horizant Extended-Release Tablets, an investigational non-dopaminergic treatment for moderate-to-severe primary Restless Legs Syndrome. A Complete Response letter is issued by the FDA’s Center of Drug Evaluation and Research when the review of a file is completed and questions remain that preclude the approval of the NDA in its current form. GSK and XenoPort are currently evaluating the Complete Response letter, in which the FDA indicated that a preclinical finding of pancreatic acinar cell tumors in rats was of sufficient concern to preclude approval of Horizant for RLS at this time. The stock was also downgraded at Deutsche Bank, Hapoalim, Argus, Morgan Stanley and Ladenburg Thalmann.

Molecular Insight Pharma (Nasdaq: MIPI) 66.4% HIGHER; the stock seems to be breaking out on technicals today. After hitting an all-time low at $1.05 yesterday, the stock held over the $1 level. Today's move comes with extremely heavy volume.

Zenith National Insurance Corp. (NYSE: ZNT) 30.7% HIGHER; agrees to be acquired by Fairfax Financial Holdings Limited for $38.00 per share in cash, a 31.4% premium to yesterday's close. The transaction values Zenith at approximately $1.4 billion.

Cardiac Science (Nasdaq: CSCX) 22.3% LOWER; in an 8-K last night, the company disclosed that it recently received an FDA warning letter related to the an inspection in the latter part of Q3. The company sees Q1 sales down 10-20% vs. its prior view. The stock was also downgraded at SunTrust this morning.

TranSwitch (Nasdaq: TXCC) 20% HIGHER; traders may be buying the stock amid preliminary numbers at INTT and results at Applied Materials (Nasdaq: AMAT).

DepoMed (Nasdaq: DEPO) 19.4% LOWER; see XenoPort. The stock was also downgraded to Neutral at Merriman Curhan Ford.

inTEST Corporation (Nasdaq: INTT) 18.7% HIGHER; reports preliminary Q4 EPS of $0.02 on sales of $8.4 million. inTEST reported a loss of $0.03 in Q3, on sales of $6 million.

Trico Marine Services Inc. (Nasdaq: TRMA) 17.4% LOWER; reports Q4 loss of $7.68, versus the analyst estimate of ($0.40) and compared to a gain of $0.27 in the same quarter last year. Revenue for the quarter was $150.8 million, which compares to the estimate of $160.83 million.

NightHawk Radiology Holdings, Inc. (NASDAQ: NHWK) 16.7% LOWER; reports Q4 adjusted EPS of $0.09, even with the analyst estimate of $0.09. Revenue for the quarter was $37.9 million, which compares to the estimate of $39.28 million. Sees Q110 EPS of $0.04 - $0.06, versus 0.12 consensus. Sees Q110 sales of $35.5 - $37.5 million, versus $39.5 million consensus.

NMT Medical (Nasdaq: NMTI) 13.9% HIGHER; shares are continuing higher today following news yesterday of $5.8 million in financing.

CardioNet, Inc. (NASDAQ: BEAT) 10.9% HIGHER; reports Q4 adjusted EPS of $0.24, versus the analyst estimate of ($0.14). Revenue for the quarter was $33.3 million, which compares to the estimate of $32.09 million. The stock was also upgraded to Buy at both Noble and Brean Murray.
