MedCath Corporation (Nasdaq: MDTH) 46.3% LOWER; reports Q4 EPS of $0.20, 7 cents lower than the analyst estimate of $0.27. Revenue for the quarter was $150.9 million, versus the consensus of $155.33 million.

Cypress Semiconductor Corp. (NYSE: CY) 24.1% LOWER; lowers Q4 guidance. Sees revenue of $165 million to $180 million, versus the consensus of $199 million. Non-GAAP fully diluted loss per share of ($0.03) to ($0.12), versus the consensusof a $0.04 profit.

Orient-Express Hotels Ltd. (NYSE: OEH) 22.9% LOWER; has entered into definitive agreements with selected institutional investors to sell an aggregate of 8,490,000 newly issued class A common shares, par value $.01 per share, in a registered direct offering at a negotiated price of $6.50 per share, for gross proceeds of approximately $55.2 million, before deducting placement agents' fees and estimated offering expenses payable by the Company. The shares being issued represent just under 20% of the Company's outstanding class A common shares. The Company's costs in connection with the offering are expected to be approximately $250,000.

Solera Holdings, Inc. (NYSE: SLH) 20.9% LOWER; announced today that it has agreed to issue and sell an aggregate of 4,500,000 shares of its common stock at a price of $20.00 per share in an underwritten public offering.

FUQI International, Inc. (Nasdaq: FUQI) 15.7% HIGHER; reports Q3 EPS of $0.31, 5 cents better than the analyst estimate of $0.26. Revenue for the quarter was $93.7 million, versus the consensus of $79.04 million. Sees Q4 EPS of $0.34-$0.36, versus the consensus of $0.33, and sales of $107-$112 million, versus the Street estimate of $108.18 million. For FY08, Fuqi sees EPS of $1.17-$1.20 and sales of $345-$350 million. The Street is expecting EPS of $1.14 and sales of $331.68 million.

Las Vegas Sands (NYSE: LVS) 14.9% HIGHER; LVS has been one of the most volatile stocks recently, trading on a wide variety of trader concerns. We are hearing no news that would justify today's drastic move.

General Steel (NYSE: GSI) 13.9% LOWER; reports Q3 loss of ($0.17), cents better than the analyst estimate of ($0.02). Revenue for the quarter was 345.4 million, versus the consensus of $411.46 million.

Alpharma (NYSE: ALO) 8.8% HIGHER; shares are extremely volatile today as the FDA is expected to discuss the potential approval of Alpharma's morphine pill, Embeda.

Sutor Technology Group Limited (Nasdaq: SUTR) 8.4% HIGHER; reports Q3 EPS of $0.27, versus the analyst estimate of $0.14. Revenue for the quarter was $101.8 million, versus the consensus of $117.78 million.

Hewitt Associates (NYSE: HEW) 6.2% HIGHER; reports Q4 earnings of $0.50 per share, ex-items, in-line with estimates. Revenues came in at $806.7 million, versus the consensus of $792.4 million. Hewitt Associates sees FY09 EPS of $2.35-$2.45 versus the consensus of $2.36. Sees 2009 low single digit revenue growth. Hewitt Associates also announced a $300 million share repurchase plan.

Sprint Nextel (NYSE: S) 6.2% HIGHER; shares of Sprint are bucking the downside trend within the communications services. The majority of the sector is seeing downside today following a warning at Nokia (NYSE: NOK)
