Bluegreen Corporation (NYSE: BXG) 42.2% HIGHER; has entered into a definitive merger agreement with BFC Financial Corporation which provides for a merger that will, subject to the terms and conditions of the agreement, result in Bluegreen becoming a wholly-owned subsidiary of BFC. Under the terms of the agreement, which has been approved by a special committee comprised of Bluegreen’s independent directors as well as the boards of directors of both companies, holders of Bluegreen’s Common Stock (other than BFC) will be entitled to receive eight shares of BFC’s Class A Common Stock for each share of Bluegreen’s Common Stock they hold at the effective time of the merger.

GLG Life Tech Corp. (Nasdaq: GLGL) 25.0% LOWER; reported Q3 EPS of ($0.74), the consensus of ($0.14) and $0.06 reported in the same period last year. Revenue for the quarter came in at $1.7 million, compared with Street views calling for $8.12 million and $20.9 million reported last year.

Cadence Pharmaceuticals, Inc. (Nasdaq: CADX) 18.4% LOWER; today announced its intention to offer and sell $75 million worth of shares of its common stock in an underwritten public offering. Cadence also expects to grant to the underwriters for the offering a 30-day option to purchase additional shares of common stock to cover over-allotments, if any. The offering is subject to market conditions, and there can be no assurance as to whether or when the offering may be completed, or as to the actual size or terms of the offering.

Netlist (Nasdaq: NLST) 17.7% HIGHER; breaking over the $2 level this week. Shares were up 16 percent on Friday following Q3 results.

China Shen Zhou Mining & Resources (NYSE: SHZ) 15.2% HIGHER; reported Q3 EPS of $0.02, versus $0.02 reported last year. Revenue for the quarter came in at $7.1 million, versus $3.6 million reported last year.

USEC (NYSE: USU) 15.2% LOWER; uranium sector moving lower this morning. Stock pushed below the 200-day SMA just after the open; volume is very heavy today.

Ctrip.com International, Ltd. (NASDAQ: CTRP) 14.7% LOWER; reported Q3 EPS of $0.43, 12 cents better than the analyst estimate of $0.31. Revenue for the quarter came in at $153 million versus the consensus estimate of $150.56 million. For the fourth quarter of 2011, Ctrip.com expects to continue the net revenue growth year-on-year at a rate of approximately 15 to 20 percent.

ATP Oil & Gas (Nasdaq: ATPG) 14.0% LOWER; could be moving on news Egypt will enhance gas export pipeline security or news Noble Enery and partners at the Tamar field are near a 15-year deal with Daewoo Shipbuilding for floating LNG terminals.

First Marblehead (NYSE: FMD) 12.1% HIGHER; has sold to VCG Special Opportunities Master Fund Limited its variable interests in its National Collegiate Student Loan Trusts for $13 million in cash.

China GrenTech Corporation Limited (Nasdaq: GRRF) 11.7% HIGHER; today announced that its Board of Directors has received a proposal letter dated November 12, 2011 from its Chairman and Chief Executive Officer, Mr. Yingjie Gao, to acquire all of the outstanding shares of GrenTech not currently owned by Mr. Gao, certain members of the management and their affiliates in a going private transaction for $3.10 per American Depositary share in cash, subject to certain conditions.

Cheniere Energy (NYSE: LNG) 11.4% HIGHER; hearing some takeover chatter on the company this morning.
