PTC Therapeutics, Inc. (Nasdaq: PTCT) 80.8% HIGHER; announced that the Committee for Medicinal Products for Human Use (CHMP) of the European Medicines Agency (EMA) has recommended the renewal of the conditional marketing authorization of Translarna (ataluren) for the treatment of nonsense mutation Duchenne muscular dystrophy (nmDMD) in ambulatory patients five years and older. In connection with the renewal, the marketing authorization will include a specific obligation to conduct an additional long-term post-authorization trial.

Avalon Holdings Corporation (NYSE: AWX) 33.3% HIGHER; announced financial results for the third quarter of 2016. Net operating revenues in the third quarter of 2016 were $19.1 million compared with $14.6 million in the third quarter of 2015. The Company recorded net income attributable to Avalon Holdings Corporation common shareholders of $0.8 million in the third quarter of 2016 compared with net income attributable to Avalon Holdings Corporation common shareholders of $0.5 million in the third quarter of 2015. For the third quarter of 2016, basic net income per share attributable to Avalon Holdings Corporation common shareholders was $0.21 compared with basic net income per share attributable to Avalon Holdings Corporation common shareholders of $0.14 in the third quarter of 2015.

Concordia International Corp. (Nasdaq: CXRX) 27.6% HIGHER; bouncing higher as shares remain volatile.

NVIDIA (Nasdaq: NVDA) 26.5% HIGHER; reported Q3 EPS of $0.94, $0.37 better than the analyst estimate of $0.57. Revenue for the quarter came in at $2 billion versus the consensus estimate of $1.69 billion. NVIDIA sees Q4 2017 revenue of $2.058-2.142 billion, versus the consensus of $1.69 billion.

DryShips (Nasdaq: DRYS) 20.6% HIGHER; continuing higher following a 133 percent rise on Thursday.

Triton International Ltd (NYSE: TRTN) 17.4% HIGHER; reported Q3 EPS of ($0.69), versus $0.53 reported last year. Revenue for the quarter came in at $247.93 million, versus $175.72 million reported last year.

Photronics, Inc. (Nasdaq: PLAB) 17.0% LOWER; provided preliminary results for the fourth quarter of fiscal 2016, ended October 30, 2016. Based upon preliminary financial results, Photronics now expects fourth quarter sales to be approximately $107 million, and diluted earnings per share (EPS) to be in the range of $0.02 to $0.03. These expectations compare with the previously announced guidance range of $118 to $128 million in sales and diluted EPS of $0.09 to $0.17. The consensus is $123.4 million and $0.13.

eMagin Corp. (NYSE: EMAN) 12.5% LOWER; reported Q3 EPS of ($0.08), $0.01 worse than the analyst estimate of ($0.07). Revenue for the quarter came in at $4.3 million versus the consensus estimate of $6.8 million.

Harmony Gold (NYSE: HMY) 12.5% LOWER; downgraded by Citi and HSBC today.

TRACON Pharmaceuticals (Nasdaq: TCON) 12.4% LOWER; presented updated data from the Company’s Phase 1b/2 study of TRC105 and Votrient (pazopanib) at the Connective Tissue Oncology Society (CTOS) annual meeting taking place in Lisbon, Portugal.

Copel (NYSE: ELP) 10.8% LOWER; announced its results for the third quarter of 2016. Copel's EBITDA came to R$427.7 million in 3Q16, 42.9% higher than the R$299.2 million recorded in 3Q15. This performance was positively impacted by: (a) Copel Distribuição's result, due to the 4th Tariff Review Cycle, (b) Copel GeT's strategy to allocate energy to the short-term market, and (c) the 17.0% growth in equity in earnings of subsidiaries the results of investees, due to the startup of new transmission assets. The result presented was partially offset by: (a) the negative impact of R$206.4 million referring to the cash flow remeasurement of assets related to RBSE, (b) the non-activation of the Araucária TPP, and (c) the 9% decline in captive market consumption, primarily due to the migration of customers to the free market.
