Unusual 11 Mid-Day Movers 11/09: EONC, EWBC, REV, PRST Higher; GTN, CHNG, SRZ, CHDX Lower

eOn Communications Corporation((TM)) (Nasdaq: EONC) 118.8% HIGHER; reports Q4 EPS of $0.04, compared to a loss of $0.12 in the same quarter last year. Revenue for the quarter was $5.089 million, versus $1.60 million in Q408. Volume is extremely heavy.

East West Bancorp, Inc. (NASDAQ: EWBC) 52.4% HIGHER; announced today that it has acquired the banking operations of San Francisco, California based United Commercial Bank in a FDIC assisted transaction. Under the terms of the transaction, East West will receive $10.4 billion in assets, including $7.7 billion in loans, and assume $9.2 billion in liabilities, including $6.5 billion in deposits of UCB. The FDIC and East West have entered into a loss sharing agreement covering substantially all acquired loans. The stock was also upgraded at Sandler O'Neill, Morgan Stanley and Noble Financial.

Revlon, Inc. (NYSE: REV) 32.3% HIGHER; announced that its wholly-owned operating subsidiary, Revlon Consumer Products Corporation, has received all of the required lender consents to amend its bank term loan credit agreement and bank revolver credit agreement to permit RCPC to conduct certain refinancing transactions on a variety of terms and conditions, including terms that would permit RCPC to seek to refinance its 91/2% Senior Notes due April 2011 on a secured basis. Gray Television, Inc. (NYSE: GTN) 26.9% LOWER; reports Q3 loss of ($0.21), 6 cents better than the analyst estimate of ($0.27). Revenue for the quarter was $66.40 million, which compares to the estimate of $66.37 million.

China Natural Gas (Nasdaq: CHNG) 26.3% LOWER; may be trading lower today amid an analyst report from Roth Capital. In the note, the firm said that it expects construction of a liquefied nautral gas plant to be delayed, specifically, for 3-4 months.

Sunrise Senior Living (NYSE: SRZ) 24.6% LOWER; reports Q3 loss of $0.88, compared to ($1.36) in the same quarter last year. Revenue for the quarter was $382.60 million, versus $412.60 million in Q08.

Chindex International, Inc (NASDAQ: CHDX) 24.5% LOWER; reports Q3 EPS of $0.05, versus the analyst estimate of $0.13. Revenue for the quarter was $38.10 million, which compares to the estimate of $45.53 million.

Presstek Inc. (Nasdaq: PRST) 22.9% HIGHER; reports Q3 loss of $0.08, 1 cent worse than the analyst estimate of ($0.07). Revenue for the quarter was $33 million, which compares to the estimate of $32.47 million.

VeriChip (Nasdaq: CHIP) 19.7% HIGHER; not hearing any company-specific news that would justify today's sharp move higher. Just before 1pm Eastern, the stock has already surpassed its average volume for the entire intraday trading session.

TravelCenters of America LLC (NYSE: TA) 18.6% LOWER; reports Q3 loss of $0.73, versus the analyst estimate of ($0.10). Revenue for the quarter was $1.28 billion, which compares to the estimate of $1.21 billion.

TETRA Technologies (NYSE: TTI) 17.8% HIGHER; reports Q3 EPS of $0.30, 8 cents better than the analyst estimate of $0.22. Revenue for the quarter was $253.98 million, which compares to the estimate of $225.86 million.
