Revenue for the quarter was $38.9 million, versus the consensus of $41.51 million. Sees Q4 sales of $41-$46 million, versus the consensus of $53.42 million, and a loss of $0.09-$0.04, versus the consensus of a $0.02 gain. For FY08, Symyx cuts its outlook for sales to $157-$162 million and its outlook for earnings to a loss of $0.36-$0.31. The Street is currently expecting FY08 sales of $172.50 million and a loss of $0.24.
