PTC Therapeutics, Inc. (Nasdaq: PTCT) 32.5% LOWER; announced that at the end of last week, the Office of Drug Evaluation I (ODE-I) of the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) denied the company's first appeal of the refuse to file letter issued by the FDA's Division of Neurological Products (DNP) on February 22, 2016 regarding PTC's New Drug Application (NDA) for Translarna for the treatment of nonsense mutation Duchenne muscular dystrophy (nmDMD).

ContraVir Pharmaceuticals, Inc. (Nasdaq: CTRV) 20.4% HIGHER; announced that following a positive recommendation from an independent Data Safety Monitoring Board (DSMB), the company has begun enrolling the next dosing group in its head-to-head Phase 2a dose-escalation study comparing the safety and efficacy of ContraVir's CMX157 to tenofovir disoproxil fumarate (TDF, marketed by Gilead Sciences as Viread) in patients with chronic hepatitis B (HBV). ContraVir expects to complete the remaining two escalation cohorts and report top-line results by year-end 2016.

Opus Bank (Nasdaq: OPB) 18.4% LOWER; announced that earnings for the third quarter 2016, which will be announced on October 24, 2016 before the market opens, will include a $0.59 per diluted share impact from loan charge-offs and is expected to result in a net loss of approximately $0.05 per diluted share for the third quarter of 2016.

SkyPeople Fruit Juice, Inc. (Nasdaq: SPU) 18.3% LOWER; announced that on October 12, 2016, the Company received a delisting determination letter (the "Determination Letter") from the staff of the Listing Qualifications Department of The NASDAQ Stock Market LLC ("NASDAQ"). The Determination Letter notified the Company that since it had not filed its Annual Report on Form 10-K for the fiscal year ended December 31, 2015 and its Quarterly Reports on Form 10-Q for the quarterly periods ended March 31, 2016 and June 30, 2016, respectively, (together, the "Reports") by October 11, 2016, the deadline by which the Company was to file all Reports in order to regain compliance with NASDAQ Listing Rule 5250(c)(1), the Company's common stock is subject to delisting from The NASDAQ Global Market.

InspireMD, Inc. (NYSE: NSPR) 15.1% LOWER; announced the online publication of positive clinical data in a new independent study performed by Prof. Christian Wissgott, M.D., entitled "Clinical Results and Mechanical Properties of the Carotid CGuard™ Double-Layered Embolic Prevention Stent," which evaluated the Company's CGuard™ EPS in patients with symptomatic or high-grade asymptomatic internal carotid artery (ICA) stenosis. The study, published in the Journal of Endovascular Therapy online-ahead-of-print, is available digitally on the journal's OnlineFirst website section.

RLJ Entertainment (Nasdaq: RLJE) 14.8% HIGHER; formed a strategic partnership with AMC Networks (Nasdaq: AMCX), the company behind several of the most recognized brands and shows in entertainment, including AMC, BBC AMERICA, WE tv (a leading network for African American audiences), SundanceTV, AMC Networks International, IFC, and IFC Films. The announcement was made by RLJ Entertainment Chairman Bob Johnson, the founder of Black Entertainment Television (BET), and AMC Networks President and CEO Josh Sapan.

Stone Energy (NYSE: SGY) 12.8% LOWER; Barclays downgraded Stone Energy from Equalweight to Underweight with a price target of $3.

Ocean Power Technologies (Nasdaq: OPTT) 12.7% HIGHER; bouncing back following a 30 percent slide last Friday.

Sophiris Bio, Inc. (Nasdaq: SPHS) 10.3% HIGHER; (d) On October 12, 2016 the Board of Directors of Sophiris Bio Inc., based upon the nomination and recommendation of the Corporate Governance and Nomination Committee of the Board of Directors, approved the appointment of Allison Hulme, Ph.D. as a director of the Company to fill a vacancy on the Board of Directors. Dr. Hulme currently serves as the Company’s Chief Operating Officer and Head of Research and Development and will continue to serve in these roles. Dr. Hulme will serve as a member of the Board of Directors until the Company’s 2017 annual meeting of stockholders and until her successor is duly elected and qualified, or until her earlier death, resignation or removal.
