L & L Energy, Inc. (Nasdaq: LLEN) 21.2% HIGHER; announced that SeeThruEquity, LLC, an unbiased and independent research firm, has initiated coverage on the Company. The firm said, Our analysis indicates a fair value estimate of $5.43 per share, implying an upside of 311% from the recent price of $1.32. We view L&L as a speculative play in the Chinese coal market, with the potential to generate attractive top and bottom line growth through organic and acquisition opportunities.

Cytokinetics (Nasdaq: CYTK) 17.0% HIGHER; up today as Needham & Company said the market misread Omecamtiv data, which creates a buying opportunity for investors. The firm has a Buy on Cytokinetics and raises its price target from $20 to $25. For more color on the call, click here.

Altair Nanotechnologies, Inc. (Nasdaq: ALTI) 16.8% HIGHER; Altair is now up 115 percent since announcing a new CFO. Recent volume has been between 250,000 and 450,000 shares, though its at the lower-end of that range today.

ARIAD Pharmaceuticals, Inc. (Nasdaq: ARIA) 16.8% LOWER; lower again after the FDA placed a partial clinical hold on all new patient enrollment in clinical trials of Iclusig this week. Thursday night, a class action lawsuit was filed against the company. Several analysts have also cut expectations and price targets on the name following the news.

Leading Brands, Inc. (Nasdaq: LBIX) 16.4% LOWER; reported Q2 EPS of Cdn$0.15, from EPS of Cdn$0.19 the prior year. Revs were Cdn$4.06 million, down from Cdn$5.42 million in FQ213.

Envestnet, Inc. (NYSE: ENV) 16.4% HIGHER; announced the pricing of a public offering on behalf of selling stockholders of 5,045,215 shares of common stock at a public offering price of $29.25 per share. The Company will not receive any proceeds from the sale of shares by the selling stockholders.

Kingold Jewelry, Inc. (Nasdaq: KGJI) 15.3% HIGHER; moving higher today as China and Europe inked a new currency swap deal, while some might be speculating that the U.S. will reach a debt-ceiling agreement soon. Markets in China could be seeing a little delay from Thursday's news given that the country is 12-hours ahead of the U.S. Solidity in the U.S. would be a boon for China, not to mention the global economy as a whole.

Parkervision Inc. (Nasdaq: PRKR) 14.4% LOWER; could be related to its Qualcomm, Inc. (Nasdaq: QCOM) litigation, which started on October 7th. Shares moved through the key $2.50 support level today.

Mercury Systems, Inc. (MRCY) 12.1% LOWER; Mercury has been active around the $10 level. Shares rose 3.5 percent on Thursday. Volume today is about three-times the trailing daily average.

Cray Inc. (Nasdaq: CRAY) 10.7% LOWER; lower as peer Silicon Graphics (Nasdaq: SGI) issued a warning for Q1 results.
