Transcept Pharmaceuticals, Inc. (Nasdaq: TSPT) 92.2% HIGHER; announced today its plan to resubmit to the U.S. FDA its New Drug Application seeking approval of Intermezzo (zolpidem tartrate sublingual tablet) for use as-needed for the treatment of insomnia when a middle of the night awakening is followed by difficulty returning to sleep.
Fundtech Ltd. (Nasdaq: FNDT) 31.0% HIGHER; GTCR reports, following completion of its due diligence and negotiations with Fundtech it has submitted a proposal to acquire Fundtech, a leading provider of transaction banking software and services to financial institutions, for $23.33 in cash for each Fundtech ordinary share.
CNinsure Inc. (Nasdaq: CISG) 22.2% LOWER; reports the Special Committee of its Board of Directors has received a notice from TPG Asia V MU, Inc., Kingsford Resources Limited, a company controlled by Yinan Hu, chairman of the Board of Directors and chief executive officer of the Company, and entities affiliated with him, and CDH Inservice Limited that they have unanimously determined to withdraw the non-binding going private proposal dated May 14, 2011.
Alon Holdings Blue Square Israel (NYSE: BSI) 18.7% HIGHER; has pushed sharply over the $5 level today after breaking below this support level on Tuesday. Volume is heavy today.
Newcastle Investment Corp. (NYSE: NCT) 18.4% HIGHER; declared a quarterly dividend of $0.15 per share, or $0.60 annualized. This is a 50% increase from the prior dividend of $0.10.
China North East Petroleum (AMEX: NEP) 17.9% HIGHER; continuing higher following a technical move back over the $2 level on Monday. Shares haven't looked back since. The stock is up nearly 40 percent this week.
Netflix, Inc. (Nasdaq: NFLX) 17.3% LOWER; Netflix reduced its domestic streaming-only user count for it's third-quarter, from 10 million to 9.8 million. Domestic DVD-only accounts moved from 3 million to 2.2 million users. Total sub accounts in the quarter moves from 22 million to 21.8 million. Financial guidance for the quarter is unchanged, as is international subscriber guidance.
Perfect World Co. (Nasdaq: PWRD) 16.1% LOWER; adjusts its revenue guidance for the quarter to be between RMB702 million and RMB741 million, as compared to the previously announced revenue guidance of RMB756 million and RMB803 million.
Marcus Corp. (NYSE: MCS) 15.3% HIGHER; reported Q1 EPS of $0.42, 2 cents better than the analyst estimate of $0.40. Revenue for the quarter came in at $123.91 million versus the consensus estimate of $116.2 million.
Zogenix (Nasdaq: ZGNX) 14.1% LOWER; Bloomberg reporting the company has raised its common stock offering from 12 million to 30 million shares.
Aixtron SE (Nasdaq: AIXG) 12.9% LOWER; issues a new 2011 revenue and EBIT guidance of €600 million to €650 million in revenues with an EBIT performance of 25 percent to 30 percent. The Management has also reviewed the existing equipment order backlog and has decided, as a matter of prudence, to reduce the previously published order backlog by €100 million. The stock was downgraded at WestLB.
