Unusual 11 Mid-Day Movers 09/01: SLRY, SRZ, AMPH, GIII, BKC, JOSB Higher; CHRS, ARAY, ULTA, BF-B, LTXC Lower

Salary.com (Nasdaq: SLRY) 42.7% HIGHER; entered into agreement to be acquired by Kenexa (Nasdaq: KNXA) for $4.07 per share, or a total consideration of $80 million.

Sunrise Senior Living Inc. (NYSE: SRZ) 42.1% HIGHER; announces revamped relationship with HCP to terminate contracts on 27 of the 75 senior housing communities. HCP will pay Sunrise $50 million. SRZ also announced that they have completed the previously announced sale of eight of the Company's nine German assisted living facilities to GHS Pflegeresidenzen Grundstucks GmbH and Prudential Real Estate Investors. Litigation proceedings were also dismissed.

American Physicians Service Group (Nasdaq: AMPH) 22.6% HIGHER; entered into an agreementi to be acquired by ProAssurance Corporation (NYSE: PRA) for a consideration of $223 million, or $32.50 per share.

G-III Apparel Group, Ltd. (Nasdaq: GIII) 18.6% HIGHER; reports Q2 EPS of $0.15, 17 cents better than the analyst estimate of ($0.02). Revenue for the quarter was $189 million, which compares to the estimate of $161.86 million. Sees FY EPS of $2.60 - $2.70, versus the consensus of $2.33. Sees FY sales of $1 billion, versus the consensus of $945.2 million.

Burger King Holdings Inc. (NYSE: BKC) 15.1% HIGHER; Reports private equity firms interested in a takeover of the company. The private equity firm mentioned 3i Group denied the reports, pushing shares off the highs.

Charming Shoppes, Inc. (Nasdaq: CHRS) 12.5% LOWER; reports Q2 adjusted GAAP loss of $0.07, versus the analyst estimate of $0.06. Revenue for the quarter was $517.6 million, which compares to the estimate of $513.10 million. Comps up 3%.

Jos. A. Bank (Nasdaq: JOSB) 12.1% HIGHER; reports Q2 EPS of $0.59, 6 cents better than the analyst estimate of $0.53. Revenue for the quarter was $188.4 million, which compares to the estimate of $181.25 million.

Accuray Incorporated (Nasdaq: ARAY) 6.4% LOWER; reports Q4 EPS of $0.08, 3 cents better than the analyst estimate of $0.05. Revenue for the quarter was $61.8 million, which compares to the estimate of $61.15 million. Sees FY11 revs of $210 - $225 million, compared to the consensus of $254 million.

Ulta Salon, Cosmetics & Fragrance, Inc. (Nasdaq: ULTA) 6.0% LOWER; tested the $22.50 level earlier in the day, and broke through that support level on higher volume today. Shares dropped almost 11% through the month of August.

Brown-Forman Corporation (NYSE: BF-B) LOWER; reports Q1 operating EPS of $0.76, versus the analyst estimate of $0.84. Revenue for the quarter was $745 million, which compares to the estimate of $758.39 million. Confirms FY11 EPS outlook.

LTX-Credence (Nasdaq: LTXC) 5.1% LOWER; reports Q4 EPS of $0.11, 1 cent better than the analyst estimate of $0.10. Revenue for the quarter was $73.2 million, which compares to the estimate of $71.85 million. Sees Q1 revenues of $75-$80 million, versus the consensus of $77.7 million. Sees Q1 EPS of $0.11-$0.13, versus the consensus of $0.13.
