CompuCredit Holdings Corporation (Nasdaq: CCRT) 33.3% HIGHER; announced Tuesday night that it commenced a cash tender offer for up to 8,250,000 shares of its outstanding common stock, no par value per share, at a purchase price of $10.00 per share.

Idenix Pharmaceuticals Inc. (Nasdaq: IDIX) 29.0% LOWER; announced that hepatitis C drug IDX184 has been placed on partial clinical hold by the FDA due to a serious cardiac-related adverse event. For more color, click here.

Gold Standard Ventures Corp (AMEX: GSV) 22.9% HIGHER; moving higher along with gold stocks today, as traders are playing the potential for more easing. Shares have been volatile after the company updates on its North Bullion Fault Zone (NBFZ) target at its 100% owned Railroad Project earlier in the week.

Perry Ellis International, Inc. (Nasdaq: PERY) 18.1% LOWER; reported Q2 EPS of $0.01, $0.02 worse than the analyst estimate of $0.03. Revenue for the quarter came in at $209.4 million versus the consensus estimate of $208.58 million. Sees FY2013 EPS of $1.75-1.80, versus the consensus of $2.01.

Blyth (NYSE: BTH) 18.1% HIGHER; announced that its ViSalius unit filed for an IPO of its common stock. Blyth will still have a majority stake in ViSalius following the IPO, which has a tentative price of $175 million.

Venoco, Inc. (NYSE: VQ) 17.7% HIGHER; announced today that it has been informed by Denver Parent Corporation, an affiliate of Timothy Marquez, Venoco's Executive Chairman, that DPC is engaged in advanced discussions regarding the financing of the merger contemplated by the merger agreement among Venoco, Mr. Marquez, DPC and another affiliate of Mr. Marquez. Otelco Inc. (Nasdaq: OTT) 14.5% LOWER; moving strong below $2.50 level. Shares are down over 70 percent since reporting earnings on August 7th.

Sina Corp (Nasdaq: SINA) 12.6% HIGHER; reported Q2 EPS of $0.05, which was 7 cents better than the analyst estimate of ($0.02). Revenue for the quarter came in at $131.6 million versus the consensus estimate of $127.26 million. Sees Q3 2012 revenue of $145 million to 148 million, versus the consensus of $147.34 million.

Geron Corporation (Nasdaq: GERN) 12.4% HIGHER; could be moving on positive SeekingAlpha article.

Ascent Solar Technologies, Inc. (Nasdaq: ASTI) 12.1% LOWER; lower as traders take profit after Ascent moved over 60 percent the last week on stronger volume.

Netease.com (Nasdaq: NTES) 11.7% LOWER; reported Q2 EPS of $1.05, $0.03 worse than the analyst estimate of $1.08. Revenue for the quarter came in at $315.5 million versus the consensus estimate of $333.87 million.
