Farmer Brothers Co. (Nasdaq: FARM) 25.4% HIGHER; coffee stocks moving well today. Shares rose more than 8.5 percent Friday.
Kandi Technologies, Corp. (Nasdaq: KNDI) 24.1% HIGHER; recently announced the signing of a strategic cooperation agreement with Hangzhou Electric Vehicle Service Co., Ltd., effective July 5, 2011.
Genetic Technologies (Nasdaq: GENE) 17.8% HIGHER; continuing a run from last week, when shares closed 10.4 percent better last Friday. Investors were loving the stock over $8 last Friday, and have $10 as a target today.
Stillwater Mining Company (NYSE: SWC) 16.1% LOWER; Stillwater and Peregrine Metals Ltd. have entered into a definitive agreement pursuant to which Stillwater, by way of a Canadian plan of arrangement, will acquire all of the outstanding shares of Peregrine. Under the terms of the Agreement, Stillwater will exchange 0.08136 shares of Stillwater common stock and US$1.35 in cash for each common share of Peregrine.
China Sky One Medical (Nasdaq: CSKI) 12.8% HIGHER; continuing higher today following a 23 percent rise on Thursday and a 19 percent rise on Friday of last week. Over the weekend, the stock was highlighted by a Seeking Alpha article entitled "Debunking Allegations of Fraud."
Arch Chemicals, Inc. (NYSE: ARJ) 11.2% HIGHER; Lonza Group Ltd and Arch report that they have signed an agreement pursuant to which Lonza has agreed to commence a tender offer for 100 percent of Arch Chemicals' outstanding shares of common stock at a price of $47.20 per share in cash.
YRC Worldwide Inc. (Nasdaq: YRCW) 11.2% HIGHER; and the The Teamsters National Freight Industry Negotiating Committee report further positive momentum in the restructuring plan to protect 25,000 Teamster freight jobs.
