Anthera Pharmaceuticals, Inc. (Nasdaq: ANTH) 69.5% LOWER; announced results from the Phase 2b PEARL-SC clinical study. The pre-specified primary efficacy endpoint, clinical improvement at 24 weeks in the SLE responder index for the pooled blisibimod dose groups, was not met due to a lack of clinical efficacy in the 100mg weekly and 200mg monthly dose groups. (Nasdaq: SNTA) 30.6% LOWER; issued a planned interim analysis of the GALAXY trial, a randomized Phase 2b/3 study designed to evaluate the efficacy and safety of the Company’s lead Hsp90 inhibitor, ganetespib, in combination with standard-of-care docetaxel vs. docetaxel alone as second-line treatment for advanced non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC). Synergetics USA, Inc. (Nasdaq: SURG), 27.0% HIGHER; has received 510(k) clearance from the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) for VersaVIT", a novel vitrectomy system for the retinal surgery market.

Tahoe Resources (NYSE: TAHO) 22.5% LOWER; could be seeing pressure from a new Guatemalan constitutional amendment which would give the government significant stakes in the companies who perform mining operations there. LiveDeal, Inc. (Nasdaq: LIVE) 22.2% HIGHER; shares have been higher 10 of the last 11 sessions as LiveDeal continues its parabolic move upward.

Orbotech (Nasdaq: ORBK) 15.6% LOWER; revised previously provided revenue guidance to cover a range of possible revenue outcomes. For the full year 2012, revenue guidance is revised to the range of $430 - 450 million from $500 million; however, the Company still expects to meet the previously announced first half revenue guidance of approximately $200 million. The Street was looking for revs of $494.06 million.

Barclays (NYSE: BCS) 15.8% LOWER; lower in reaction to the massive fines being levied on the firm begin to take hold with investors.

Merge Healthcare Inc. (Nasdaq: MRGE) 14.7% HIGHER; moving higher as the Supreme Court ruled that Obamacare was constitutional. For a little more color, click here.

USEC (NYSE: USU) 13.7% HIGHER; updated guidance following the Paducah, KY, agreement with Energy Northwest, the Bonneville Power Administration, the Tennessee Valley Authority and the U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) to extend uranium enrichment operations. The Company now sees FY12 sales of $1.9 billion.

Orexigen Therapeutics (Nasdaq: OREX) 13.6% HIGHER; JPMorgan upgraded Orexigen from Neutral to Overweight.

HMS Holdings (Nasdaq: HMSY) 12.1% HIGHER; also higher Thursday. Obamacare could mean positive changes for Medicare providers like HMS, as cuts on funding for Medicaid programs by the federal government will be repealed by the law. As in, the government can't take away states' existing benefits if they fail to comply with new regulations.
