Ventrus Biosciences, Inc. (Nasdaq: VTUS) 59.3% LOWER; today reported that its Phase 3, randomized, double-blind, placebo-controlled clinical trial of iferanserin (VEN 309) in patients with hemorrhoidal disease did not meet its endpoints. Click here to see the full report.

Momenta Pharmaceuticals, Inc. (Nasdaq: MNTA) 21.6% LOWER; Teva Pharmaceutical Industries Ltd. (NYSE: TEVA) announced today the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of New York has found in favor of Teva in the Company’s patent infringement lawsuit against Momenta/Sandoz and Mylan Laboratories Inc. (Nasdaq: MYL)/Natco Pharmaceuticals regarding Teva’s relapsing-remitting multiple sclerosis (RRMS) product, COPAXONE.

Ambient (Nasdaq: AMBT) 19.3% LOWER; traders selling today as the stock was added to the Russell 3000 index.

J. Alexander's Corporation (Nasdaq: JAX) 16.8% HIGHER; Fidelity National Financial, Inc. (NYSE: FNF) today announced the signing of a definitive agreement to merge J. Alexander's with a subsidiary of American Blue Ribbon Holdings, Inc., a newly formed, majority owned subsidiary of FNF, in a transaction which values the equity of J. Alexander's at approximately $72 million.

Alaska Communications (Nasdaq: ALSK) 16.7% HIGHER; broke out this morning after the 50-day SMA moved above the 200-day SMA. Some resistance at $2.50 was seen. With the move off this level just ahead of 1:30pm ET, the stock is now back below the 50-day SMA.

BIOLASE (Nasdaq: BIOL) 16.2% HIGHER; shares fell nearly 18 percent last week after pushing below several technical indicators. Following a response from the company there is "no fundamental reason for the recent decline in stock price" late on Friday, traders are dipping a toe in today.

Amyris (Nasdaq: AMRS) 13.4% HIGHER; holding above the $3 level which was breached on Monday of last week, and now above $3.50.

Pioneer Drilling Company, Inc. (AMEX: PDC) 13.1% LOWER; said it now expects revenue growth in the Production Services Division to be at the low end of estimate of approximately 5% to 10%. Margin as a percentage of revenues in that division is now expected to be 40% to 42%, compared to the previous guidance of being flat with the first quarter margin of 43.6%. In the Drilling Services Division, we now expect average drilling rig utilization in the second quarter to be at the low end of previous guidance of 89% to 91%. Also expect Drilling Services margin to be $7,600 to $8,000 per day, compared to previous guidance of approximately $8,000 to $8,300 per day.

Alexza Pharma (Nasdaq: ALXA) 12.9% HIGHER; pushed over the $4 level today after jumping nearly 45 percent yesterday.

Synta Pharma (Nasdaq: SNTA) 12.8% HIGHER; stock continuing higher as traders are buying ahead of data on its ganetespib for lung cancer. The stock was up more than 22 percent last week. A Jefferies analyst this morning doubled his price target on Synta shares to $14.

ATP Oil & Gas (Nasdaq: ATPG) 11.9% LOWER; continuing lower as crude oil plunges. "Black gold" trading on the NYMEX is now flirting with the $79 per barrel level. Shares of ATP plunged nearly 30 percent last week.
