Lightbridge Corp. (Nasdq: LTBR) 35.4% HIGHER; Today announced a major technological breakthrough that has the potential to transform the nuclear power industry. Lightbridge's new fuel technology based on a proprietary all-metal fuel assembly design could reduce both initial capital costs per megawatt and annual operating costs per kilowatt-hour of nuclear power, making it more competitive with other forms of electricity generation while contributing to a significant reduction of CO2 emissions.
Energy Focus, Inc. (Nasdaq: EFOI) 12.4% LOWER; results from the annual meeting had incumbents re-elected to the Board, and the number of outstanding shares will increase from 30 million to 60 million.
Rexahn Pharmaceuticals, Inc. (AMEX: RNN) 11.0% HIGHER; may be breaking over a resistance level at $1.80 today. Volume is very heavy. Shares jumped almost 22% yesterday.
Cowlitz Bancorp (Nasdaq: CWLZ) 10.8% LOWER; received a Supervisory Prompt Corrective Action Directive from the FDIC. Prior to its issuance, the Bank was subject to all of the Directive's restrictions except recapitalization requirements. The Directive requires that within 30 days of the June 15, 2010 effective date of the Directive, the Bank must either recapitalize by the sale of shares or obligations so that the Bank will be adequately recapitalized, or accept an offer to be acquired by another institution.
Peregrine Pharmaceuticals Inc. (Nasdaq: PPHM) 10.3% LOWER; announced that they may sell an aggregate of $15,000,000 in gross proceeds of the Company’s common stock from time to time through McNicoll, Lewis & Vlak LLC.
Wilmington Trust (NYSE: WL) 9.7% LOWER; SunTrust downgrades the stock from Buy to Neutral, and a price target of $22.
Jabil Circuit (NYSE: JBL) 9.6% HIGHER; reports Q3 EPS of $0.40, 6 cents better than the analyst estimate of $0.34. Revenue for the quarter was $3.46 billion, which compares to the estimate of $3.21 billion. Sees Q4 sales of $3.8-$4 billion, which compares to the Street estimate of $3.37 billion. Sees EPS of $0.45-$0.50, versus the consensus of $0.38.
Arena Pharmaceuticals, Inc. (Nasdaq: ARNA) 8.8% HIGHER; With an upcoming FDA advisory panel review on Vivus’ Qnexa next month – the first advisory panel meeting for three late-stage obesity compounds – traders may be betting that Arena’s lorcaserin could return better results.
CarMax (NYSE: KMX) 8.8% HIGHER; reports Q1 EPS of $0.44, versus the analyst estimate of $0.33. Revenue for the quarter was $2.26 billion, which compares to the estimate of $2.09 billion.
IsoRay, Inc. (AMEX: ISR) 8.2% HIGHER; announced today that it has completed a license agreement with Hologic, Inc. (Nasdaq: HOLX) for exclusive worldwide distribution rights to the GliaSite radiation therapy system.
NexMed, Inc. (Nasdaq: NEXMD) 7.9% LOWER; shares continuing lower today after a reverse split was announced on June 18, 2010.
