BroadVision (Nasdaq: BVSN) 29.9% HIGHER; trading higher amid Microsoft's (Nasdaq: MSFT) rumored buy of Yammer for $1 billion.
ATP Oil & Gas (Nasdaq: ATPG) 19.4% HIGHER; traders buy the dip today following sharp downside over the last week. The stock fell 9 percent last Friday, 7 percent on both Monday and Tuesday, and another 12 percent on Wednesday. The stock has pushed over an important level at $4 this morning.
Anthera Pharmaceuticals, Inc. (Nasdaq: ANTH) 17.5% HIGHER; the stock is continuing higher following an afternoon push higher yesterday. Shares seem to be holding above both the 50- and 200-day simple moving averages today. Shares have been volatile recently as traders are positioning themselves ahead of top-line results from the Pearl-SC Phase 2b trial of the company's blisibimod for systemic lupus erythematosus later this month.
Osiris Therapeutics (Nasdaq: OSIR) 14.5% HIGHER; traders buy the stock once again today following new yesterday of prochymal's second approval. The stock rose 14 percent yesterday, 4 percent on Wednesday, and 9 percent on Tuesday. The stock had a little trouble pushing through resistance at $9, however now seems to be holding nicely above this level.
PhotoMedex (Nasdaq: PHMD) 14.1% HIGHER; shares traded very closely to the 50-day SMA throughout much of yesterday's session and pushed nearly 16 percent higher after crossing this technical indicator. After vacillating around the 50-day once again this morning, shares spiked just after noon and have since pushed over $14.
Rambus Inc. (Nasdaq: RMBS) 14.0% HIGHER; investors potentially positioning ahead of rival Micron's (Nasdaq: MU) third-quarter 2012 numbers, expected out next Wednesday. Considering Texas Instruments' (NYSE: TXN) warning last week, Rambus investors might be anticipating a shift in sentiment. The company also got a boost from an upgrade on Wednesday, and shares are getting above the $5.55 level strongly today.
II-VI (Nasdaq: IIVI) 12.8% LOWER; reduced its Q4 sales guidance from $137-$142 million to $135-$137 million and EPS from $0.27-$0.31 to $0.23-$0.25 cents. Reduced its FY12 sales guidance from $537-$540 million to $533-$535 million and EPS from $0.98-$1.02 to $0.94-$0.96.
Dyax Corp. (Nasdaq: DYAX) 10.5% LOWER; reports the decision to discontinue the Company's Phase 2 trial investigating ecallantide in the acute treatment of angiotensin converting enzyme (ACE) inhibitor-induced angioedema based upon the results of an interim analysis. This double-blind, placebo-controlled, randomized, dose-ranging study was designed to evaluate the efficacy and safety of ecallantide (10, 30, or 60 mg subcutaneous doses) compared to placebo, with a goal of enrolling 176 patients. The primary endpoint was the proportion of patients meeting a set of criteria indicating eligibility for discharge from the emergency department within 6 hours following study drug administration. AAR Corp. (NYSE: AIR) 7.8% LOWER; after the market close Thursday, AAR provided preliminary Q4 sales of $560-$565 million and non-GAAP EPS of 44-46 cents. The Street is currently expecting Q4 sales and EPS of $547.6 million and 48 cents, respectively. The company also noted: "In the government and defense market, sales are expected to decline year-over-year but remain essentially flat with the third quarter. In order to streamline operations and improve efficiencies at the Company's manufacturing businesses supporting this market, the Company expects to record approximately $4.0 million in restructuring charges."
Ivanhoe Mines (NYSE: IVN) 7.7% LOWER; the company's Ivanhoe Australia Limited announced the first shipment of copper-gold concentrate from the Osborne Copper-Gold Project in north-western Queensland. The 10,600 wet metric tonne shipment of concentrate has been loaded and is expected to leave Townsville on 15 June 2012. The shipment of concentrate to an Asian smelter contains copper valued at approximately A$15 million and gold valued at approximately A$5 million.
ArQule (Nasdaq: ARQL) 7.5% LOWER; seems like technicals are moving the stock today, however, its worth mentioning a SunTrust analyst initiated coverage on seven biotech stocks this morning and ArQule was the only stock rated below a Buy.
