Unusual 11 Mid-Day Movers 06/13: (MITK) (USU) (DNDN) Higher; (CTCT) (AONE) (MPO) Lower

Mitek Systems (Nasdaq: MITK) 25.6% HIGHER; breaking out after technicians pushed the price over the 50- and 200-day simple moving averages and subsequently the $2.50 level. Shares charged through the $2.75 level and are now flirting with the $3 level.

USEC Inc. (NYSE: USU) 25.6% HIGHER; announced it has signed agreements with the Department of Energy to move forward with a $350 million cooperative research, development and demonstration (RD&D) program to confirm the technical readiness of the American Centrifuge, the next-generation U.S. uranium enrichment technology.

Dendreon (Nasdaq: DNDN) 19.4% HIGHER; shares are back on trader's radars today following a relatively quiet period over the last week of trading. Volume is very strong today. On the latest move higher, which occurred just after 1pm ET, volume spiked as the price surged off the 50-day SMA and over $7. The stock is now attempting to break through resistance at $7.50.

Chelsea Therapeutics (Nasdaq: CHTP) 18.4% HIGHER; after falling 19 percent over the last few trading sessions, shares rose 6 percent yesterday and are continuing higher today, now over the $1.20 level. The stock seemed to bounce after testing the 50-day simple moving average.

Constant Contact, Inc. (Nasdaq: CTCT) 18.1% LOWER; today announced that it has acquired privately owned SinglePlatform, which helps small businesses get discovered through web and mobile searches. The purchase price was approximately $65 million in cash, subject to certain adjustments.

A123 Systems (Nasdaq: AONE) 16.4% LOWER; Following a jaw-dropping 51-plus percent surge in shares of A123 on Tuesday amid reports of a new "breakthrough" technology, Wunderlich's Theodore O'Neill gave shareholders a sobering smack this morning: there is no new technology. Midstates Petroleum Company (NYSE: MPO) 13.3% LOWER; disclosed an appeals court reversed a district court's decision related to its joint agreement in Clovelly Oil. The reversal could entitle Clovelly to 56.25 percent stake of the leases in the Pine Prairie region.

Patriot Coal Corp. (NYSE: PCX) 12.6% LOWER; coal miners getting hit again today, with Patriot leading the pack. Shares are 95 percent below a 52-week high of $24.99 hit last July.

L&L Energy (Nasdaq: LLEN) 12.1% HIGHER; shares continuing higher following a break yesterday. The stock rallied by more than 30 percent over the course of June 6th to the morning of June 11th. The stock is seeing some resistance at $1.80.

Casey's General Stores (NASDAQ: CASY) 11.4% LOWER; reported Q4 EPS of $0.60, $0.07 worse than the analyst estimate of $0.67. Revenue for the quarter came in at $1.75 billion versus the consensus estimate of $1.74 billion. Sees further growth in 2013. Sees FY13 same-store grocery, other merchandise sales up 6.2 percent, gasoline gallons sold up 1 percent. Sees total number of stores up 4-6 percent.
