Orchard Supply (Nasdaq: OSH) 35.5% HIGHER; active today amid reports on Wednesday that the company might be in restructuring talks with a bank group.

Media General Inc. (NYSE: MEG) 25.0% HIGHER; Media General and privately held New Young Broadcasting Holding Co., Inc., both local broadcast television and digital media companies, today announced a definitive agreement to combine the two companies in an all-stock merger transaction. Skystar Bio Pharma (Nasdaq: SKBI) 20.5% HIGHER; the microcap saw high volatility early, though shares have since settled. VOlume on the session is a staggering 330,000 shares, versus the trailing average of about 8,700 shares traded daily.

VeriFone (NYSE: PAY) 19.5% LOWER; reported EPS of $0.42 and revs of $430 million, with the consensus looking for EPS of $0.47 and revs of $440.3 million. Looking ahead, VeriFone said it expects Q313 EPS of $0.20 and revs of $400 million, while the Street was modeling EPS of $0.50 and revs of $460.54 million.

China BAK Battery (Nasdaq: CBAK) 16.2% LOWER; retracing from a 46.4 percent move higher Wednesday as Kandi Technologies Group, Inc. (Nasdaq: KNDI) announced yesterday that JL7001BEV, the first pure electric sedan jointly developed by Kandi and Geely Automobile Holdings Ltd. (Hong Kong Stock Exchange, Stock Code: 175), has been approved by Ministry of Industry and Information Technology of the People's Republic of China.

Ciena Corp. (Nasdaq: CIEN) 14.7% HIGHER; reported Q2 EPS of $0.02, $0.03 better than the analyst estimate of ($0.01). Revenue for the quarter came in at $507.7 million versus the consensus estimate of $483.34 million. Looking ahead, Ciena sees Q3 2013 revenue of $515 - $545 million, versus the consensus of $509.46 million. Adjusted gross margin expected to be in low-40 percent range and adjusted operating expense in the mid-$190 million range.

NeoPhotonics Corporation (Nasdaq: NPTN) 14.4% HIGHER; shares rising as some in the tech sector are seing a jolt today. Short interest in the name is up 2.2 percent of float.

Bazaarvoice, Inc. (NYSE: BV) 13.6% HIGHER; Bazaarvoice moving higher again today following a modest rise on Wednesday for better than expected Q4 results. For more color, click here.

Coldwater Creek, Inc. (Nasdaq: CWTR) 13.3% LOWER; reported Q1 EPS of ($0.66), $0.11 better than the analyst estimate of ($0.77). Revenue for the quarter came in at $155.7 million versus the consensus estimate of $166.57 million. Comparable premium retail sales declined 10.5 percent for the quarter. Coldwater Creek, Inc. sees Q2 2013 EPS of ($0.55)-(0.75), versus the consensus of ($0.55).

GigOptix, Inc. (AMEX: GIG) 13.3% LOWER; moving back lower again and crossing back below the 20-day SMA. Shares are back to flat from a recent run that saw the stock hit above $1.80.

Rosetta Stone Inc. (NYSE: RST) 111.4% LOWER; announced the pricing of its previously announced public offering of shares of common stock. An aggregate of 3,500,000 shares are being offered at a price to the public of $16.00 per share.
