Amyris (Nasdaq: AMRS) 29.2% HIGHER; the stock has been extremely volatile lately and is continuing today. After falling more than 6 percent on Friday and another 8 percent yesterday, traders are buying the dip this morning.
Exceed Co. (NYSE: EDS) 26.2% LOWER; reported Q1 EPS of 62 cents on sales of $142.1 million. The company also announced it revised its Q1, Q2, Q3 of 2011 results amid an accounting change. The company sees FY12 sales down about 20 percent year over year.
Westport Innovations Inc. (Nasdaq: WPRT) 18.7% HIGHER; has signed agreements with Caterpillar Inc. (NYSE: CAT) to co-develop natural gas technology for off-road equipment, including mining trucks and locomotives.
Biosante Pharma (Nasdaq: BPAX) 17.3% HIGHER; continuing a late-day rally yesterday which added about 23 percent to the company's value over just the last two hours of trade. Shares really began ramping after breaking above the 50- and 200-day simple moving averages.
Cleveland BioLabs (Nasdaq: CBLI) 17.3% LOWER; investors taking profits following a 63 percent surge yesterday. The company said its efficacy study for CBLB502 showed strong survival results. For more, click here.
Shuffle Master, Inc. (Nasdaq: SHFL) 15.9% LOWER; reported Q2 EPS of $0.20, ex-items, inline with the analyst estimate of $0.20. Revenue for the quarter came in at $66.1 million versus the consensus estimate of $65.12 million.
Jive Software (Nasdaq: JIVE) 14.3% HIGHER; following a near-12 percent slide in the stock over the prior three trading sessions, shares are holding nicely above the 50-day simple moving average.
Limelight Networks (Nasdaq: LLNW) 13.3% LOWER; Netflix (Nasdaq: NFLX) blindsided commercial content delivery network (CDNs) today after announcing that it has opened its own free content delivery network. Stocks in the group are getting slaughtered. The moves is most negative for Limelight give its sizable Netflix exposure, according to analysts at Jefferies. JA Solar Holdings (Nasdaq: JASO) 12.4% HIGHER; reported Q1 EPS of ($0.20), $0.05 worse than the analyst estimate of ($0.15). Revenue for the quarter came in at $254.4 million versus the consensus estimate of $234.68 million. Shipments were 366MW.
Microvision (Nasdaq: MVIS) 12% LOWER; the stock is correcting today following a very volatile run over the last week. Shares jumped 11 percent yesterday, nearly 13 percent on Friday, and about 39 percent on Thursday of last week. Volume seems rather light today.
RF Micro Devices (Nasdaq: RFMD) 11.5% HIGHER; Avian Securities upgraded RF Micro from Neutral to Positive.
