Express (NYSE: EXPR) 26.7% LOWER; reported Q1 EPS of $0.47, $0.02 worse than the analyst estimate of $0.49. Revenue for the quarter came in at $496 million versus the consensus estimate of $503.17 million. Comparable sales increased 4%. Express sees FY2012 EPS of $1.79-$1.89, versus the consensus of $1.95. Express previously expected EPS of $1.84 to $1.97. Express sees Q2 2012 EPS of $0.15-$0.18, versus the consensus of $0.20.
Benihana (Nasdaq: BNHN) 21.2% HIGHER; to be acquired by Angelo, Gordon & Co.'s Private Equity Group in a deal valued at about $296 million. Under the terms of the merger agreement, which has been approved by the Company's Board of Directors, Angelo Gordon will acquire all of the outstanding shares of Benihana's common stock for $16.30 per share in cash.
ChinaCache International Holdings (Nasdaq: CCIH) 20.1% HIGHER; reported Q1 EPS of $0.06, versus $0.07 reported last year. Revenue for the quarter came in at $28.9 million, versus $20.08 million reported last year.
Ariba (Nasdaq: ARBA) 19.6% HIGHER; SAP's (NYSE: SAP) SAP America subsidiary entered into an agreement to buy Ariba (Nasdaq: ARBA) for $45 per share, or valued at about $4.3 billion.
Amyris, Inc. (Nasdaq: AMRS) 14.1% HIGHER; continuing higher from Monday after disclosing a $4.1 million capital raise from non-employee directors via a private placement.
China Gerui AMG (Nasdaq: CHOP) 11.6% HIGHER; reported Q1 EPS of $0.20, $0.01 worse than the analyst estimate of $0.21. Revenue for the quarter came in at $68.7 million versus the consensus estimate of $73.62 million. China Gerui AMG reaffirmed FY2012 guidance.
