Unusual 11 Mid-Day Movers 04/17: (NEWL) (SRSL) (DNN) Higher; (ARNA) (TEO) (TCX) Lower

NewLead Holdings (Nasdaq: NEWL) 46.6% HIGHER; stock pushing back over the $3 level following a parabolic move which started in early April. From April 9th to April 11th, the stock surged more than 170 percent, only to give up a large chunk of the gains over the next three sessions. Volume is very heavy today.

SRS Labs (Nasdaq: SRSL) 36.7% HIGHER; DTS (Nasdaq: DTSI) to acquire SRS Labs for $9.50/share in cash and stock.

Denison Mines Corp. (Amex: DNN) 21.7% HIGHER; Energy Fuels Inc. and Denison Mines yesterday announced that they have entered into a Letter Agreement to complete a transaction whereby EFR will acquire all of Denison's mining assets and operations located in the United States from Denison in exchange for 425,441,494 common shares of EFR.

Digital Domain (Nasdaq: DDMG) 14.7% HIGHER; shares are up about 14 percent Tuesday morning as a (holographic) guest appearance by none other than Tupac during Sunday's Dr. Dre & Snoop Dogg performance at the Coachella Music Festival is making waves across the country.

EnerNOC, Inc. (Nasdaq: ENOC) 11.7% HIGHER; announced that National Grid has selected EnerNOC's technology and services platform to manage natural gas consumption at approximately 4,000 commercial, institutional, and industrial customer sites in Brooklyn and Queens. This agreement is in effect through March 2017.

Sunrise Senior Living, Inc. (NYSE: SRZ) 11.4% HIGHER; Ventas, Inc. (NYSE: VTR) has reached a definitive agreement to acquire a 100 percent interest in 16 private pay seniors living communities from affiliates of Sunrise and its institutional joint venture partner for $362 million.

Arena Pharmaceuticals (Nasdaq: ARNA) 10.0% LOWER; looks like there's a little profit-taking happening today. For more color, click here.

Telecom Argentina S.A. (NYSE: TEO) 7.9% LOWER; traders may be using the stock as a play on the nationalization of YPF, the Argentine oil unit of Spanish firm Repsol.

Tucows (AMEX: TCX) 7.5% LOWER; shares are continuing lower following a 7.6 percent decline yesterday. The stock fell below support at $1.30.

Lee Enterprises (NYSE: LEE) 7.5% LOWER; reported Q2 loss of 54 cents per share, from a loss of 3 cents per share last year.

Apollo Residential Mortgage, Inc. (NYSE: AMTG) 6.0% LOWER; announced the Company has priced an underwritten public offering of 13,900,000 shares of common stock. The Company has granted the underwriters a 30-day option to purchase up to an additional 2,085,000 shares of common stock. The offering is expected to close on April 20, 2012, and is subject to customary closing conditions.
