SIGA Tech (Nasdaq: SIGA) 31.7% HIGHER; seems to be breaking above the 200-day SMA after holding closely to this technical indicator for the last week or two. Volume is very heavy today and increased further as the stock pushed over the $3 level.
Verenium Corporation (Nasdaq: VRNM) 20.5% HIGHER; today announced it has closed a transaction with DSM Food Specialties B.V., a business group of Royal DSM, in which Verenium has sold to DSM its Oilseed Processing business, licensed certain enzymes for use in the food and beverage markets, and will provide access to new gene libraries to be developed by Verenium. Verenium will receive $37 million in total consideration, including transaction and related expenses, on Monday, March 26, 2012.
Arena Pharmaceuticals, Inc. (Nasdaq: ARNA) 19.9% HIGHER; Traders have their eyes on obesity drug makers VIVUS, Inc. (Nasdaq: VVUS), Orexigen Therapeutics, Inc. (Nasdaq: OREX) and Arena ahead of this week's AdCom on CV risks related to the drugs.
AudioCodes (Nasdaq: AUDC) 16.8% LOWER; lowers its Q1 sales guidance to $32-$35 million, which compares to the Street estimate of $38 million. Now sees FY12 sales of $140-$150 million, vs. the consensus of $167 million. FY12 net income will be lower than expected.
Gravity Co. (Nasdaq: GRVY) 14.6% HIGHER; continuing higher following a late-day 11 percent move higher on Friday. The stock broke above the 200-day at this time. Also hitting shares today is news Ragnarok Online II was released in Korea today.
A123 Systems (Nasdaq: AONE) 14.1% LOWER; announced that the company has launched a field campaign to replace battery modules and packs that may contain defective prismatic cells produced at A123's Livonia, Mich. manufacturing facility.
PharmAthene (AMEX: PIP) 14% HIGHER; breaking above the $1.50 level today. Upside momentum has continued since the stock pushed over $1.60.
Hackett Group (Nasdaq: HCKT) 13% HIGHER; bounced off the 200-day just after this morning's opening bell.
US Home Systems (Nasdaq: USHS) 10% LOWER; continuing to hold below several important technical indicators this week. Volume is inline-to-slightly-heavy.
BroadVision (Nasdaq: BVSN) 8.2% LOWER; continuing lower following a 30 percent plunge last week.
Higher One Holdings, Inc. (NYSE: ONE) 7.9% LOWER; will present at the Barclays Capital Emerging Payments Forum in New York, New York on March 28th. At the Forum, Mark Volchek, Chief Financial Officer of Higher One, will present items not previously disclosed in reports filed by Higher One with the Securities and Exchange Commission (the “SEC”) relating to (i) current trends expected to lead to less predictable and lower new and total student enrollment growth at higher education institutions and (ii) changes in financial aid refund timing at higher education institutions. These factors may negatively impact the ability of Higher One to forecast revenue growth.
