Unusual 11 Mid-Day Movers 03/21: (PRAN) (GSAT) (OXGND) Higher; (MAJC) (S) (XNPT) Lower

Majestic Capital, Ltd. (Nasdaq: MAJC) 70.1% LOWER; announced that they will seek bankruptcy protection and one of their units will sell off Amtrust (Nasdaq: AFSI) renewal rights.

Prana Biotechnology Ltd. (Nasdaq: PRAN) 38.1% HIGHER; announced the publication
of new data
on the ability of PBT2 to repair the damage in an Alzheimer's affected brain thereby facilitating the restoration of cognition in Alzheimer's Disease. The findings help to explain the rapid improvement in cognition previously reported in transgenic Alzheimer's mice and in patients in a Phase IIa clinical trial with PBT2.

Globalstar, Inc. (Nasdaq: GSAT) 21.0% HIGHER; has received authority from the FCC to operate its second-generation satellites within the United States.

OXiGENE (Nasdaq: OXGND) 20.9% HIGHER; receives meeting minutes from FDA type c meeting on ZYBRESTAT(TM) anaplastic thyroid program. The FDA is looking for added trial(s) with a survival endpoint, saying that the SPA is no longer in effect.

Mines Management, Inc. (AMEX: MGN) 17.0% HIGHER; low market cap miners are seeing more buying today, though headline risk still looms as Japan continues working out trouble with nuclear reactors as they test and power each one back on. Click here for other miners seeing a bid today.

Sprint (NYSE: S) 15.9% LOWER; traders are selling the stock amid the deal between AT&T and T-Mobile.

Evergreen Solar, Inc. (Nasdaq: ESLR) 15.6% HIGHER; bouncing back after hitting a 52-week low last Friday. Shares have sold-off by about 47% since reporting Q4 results on March 9. Volume in the stock is about three-times normal today.

Uranerz Energy Corp. (AMEX: URZ) 15.2% HIGHER; see Mines Management above. Volume today is just ahead of the trailing three-month daily closing average.

Brightpoint (Nasdaq: CELL) 12.4% LOWER; trading lower amid the deal between AT&T and T-Mobile today. Brightpoint currently receives about 10% of its sales from T-Mobile. As a Jefferies analyst has pointed out today, it is unlikely that Brightpoint will retain business from T-Mobile if a deal does go through.

XenoPort, Inc. (Nasdaq: XNPT) 11.5% LOWER; reports preliminary top-line results from a Phase 2b clinical trial of arbaclofen placarbil (also known as AP) as adjunctive therapy in patients with gastroesophageal reflux disease who do not experience complete relief of GERD symptoms while being treated with proton pump inhibitors.

General Maritime (NYSE: GMR) 11.3% LOWER; correcting once again today following a 27% rise on Friday. The stock fell 27% on Thursday following news of a delay to the filing of its 10-K.
