Life Technologies Corporation (Nasdaq: LIFE) 10.3% HIGHER; has retained Deutsche Bank Securities Inc. and Moelis & Company LLC to assist in its annual strategic review. The board of directors has not decided on any specific course of action.

Capital One Financial Corp. (NYSE: COF) 7.6% LOWER; reported Q4 EPS of $1.41, $0.20 worse than the analyst estimate of $1.61. Revenue for the quarter came in at $5.62 billion versus the consensus estimate of $5.88 billion.
GEO Group, Inc. (NYSE: GEO) 7.6% LOWER; received a favorable private letter ruling from the Internal Revenue Service in connection with GEO’s previously announced conversion to a real estate investment trust. The company also declared a quarterly dividend of $0.50 per share, or $2 annualized.
Finisar (Nasdaq: FNSR) 7.6% LOWER; Jefferies downgraded Finisar from Hold to Underperform, moving its price target from $14 down to $7.50.
