Adeona Pharmaceuticals, Inc., (AMEX: AEN) 45.4% HIGHER; announced today that the ongoing clinical trial of its Trimesta (oral estriol) drug candidate being conducted by Dr. Rhonda Voskuhl, Director, UCLA Multiple Sclerosis Program, UCLA Dept. of Neurology has received an additional $860,440 in grant funding through the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act. Cyclacel Pharmaceuticals, Inc. (Nasdaq: CYCC) 26.1% HIGHER; After rising 152% yesterday on positive drug data, the stock is up again today. Mid-day Thursday, Cyclacel announced that data published in a peer-reviewed journal showed that its seliciclib drug candidate was found to be effective in killing lung cancer cells through a novel apoptotic mechanism or induction of cancer cell suicide.

Hutchison Telecommunications (NYSE: HTX) 23.5% HIGHER; Hutchison Whampoa Limited and Hutchison Telecom jointly announced today that a HWL Group company has requested the board of directors of HTIL to put forward a proposal to privatise HTIL by way of a Scheme of Arrangement under the Companies Law of the Cayman Islands. The stock was also upgraded to Neutral at Credit Suisse.

Helicos Biosciences (Nasdaq: HLCS) 21.8% HIGHER; appears to be breaking out above the 200-day smooth moving average today. After testing the $1 level over the last few weeks, the stock now seems like it could hold above this level.

Casual Male Retail Group, Inc. (Nasdaq: CMRG) 21.7% HIGHER; traders are possibly reacting to 60,000 share purchase from CEO David Levin disclosed after the close. Levin purchased 55,000 shares on 1/06 at $2.37 and another 5,000 shares on 1/07 at $2.28. He owns 463,906 share directly after the buying.

Synta Pharmaceuticals Corp. (NASDAQ: SNTA) 17.4% LOWER; today announced the pricing of an underwritten public offering of 5,555,556 shares of its common stock at a price to the public of $4.50 per share for gross proceeds of approximately $25 million. After underwriting discounts and commissions and estimated offering expenses payable by us, Synta expects to receive net proceeds of approximately $23.1 million.

Rogers Corporation (NYSE: ROG) 9% LOWER; today announced guidance for the full year 2010. The Company has not historically provided annual guidance, but in light of the unprecedented economic climate of the last year it believes it is prudent to provide initial guidance for 2010. The Company believes 2010 sales will be about $320 million, an increase of approximately $28 million over 2009. At these sales volumes under 2009’s expense structure, earnings per share would have been expected to exceed $1.50 per share. Consensus is $332.50 million and $1.48, respectively.

Emmis Communications (Nasdaq: EMMS) 8.5% LOWER; in its 10-Q, the company reported Q4 EPS of $0.04. A large stakeholder, Martin Capital, also disclosed that it cut its take in the company to 7.3%.

AZZ incorporated (NYSE: AZZ) 8% LOWER; reports Q3 EPS of $0.70, versus the analyst estimate of $0.76. Revenue for the quarter was $81.5 million, which compares to the estimate of $93.74 million. Maintains FY10 guidance. Sees EPS of $3.00 - $3.10 and revs of $355 - $365 million, compared to previous estimates of a $3.00 - $3.10 EPS and revs of $370 - $380 million. Consensus is an EPS $3.14 and revs of $377.02 million.

Lawson Software, Inc. (NASDAQ: LWSN) 7.9% LOWER; reports Q2 adj-EPS of $0.09, inline with the analyst estimate of $0.09. Revenue for the quarter was $184.4 million, which compares to the estimate of $176.21 million. Sees Q3 sales of $174-$178 million and adj-EPS of $0.07-$0.09. The Street is currently looking for Q3 sales and EPS of $174.88 million and $0.10, respectively.
