  • CurrencyShares Euro Trust (NYSE: FXE) up 0.65% to $130.28. Higher today as consumer sentiment, coupled with U.S. dollar weakness, is increasing the value of the Euro. The rate reached above $1.30 for the first time since May today. Euro zone confidence hit a 28-week high of 101.3 for July, up from 99.0 in June, and compared to the consensus of 99.0.

  • PowerShares DB US Dollar Index Bullish (NYSE: UUP) down 0.59% to $23.75. Lower today on mixed jobless claims numbers. Initial claims of 457K were below the consensus of 464K, but continuing claims came in at 4565K, above the Street view of 4550K. Earnings have been mixed overall today.

  • Energy Select Sector SPDR (NYSE: XLE) down 0.19% to $53.81. Exxon Mobil Corp. (XOM) posted better than expected earnings results for the quarter, and Conoco (NYSE: COP) also reported strong Q2 earnings, but not good enough from either to keep the ETF in the green today.

  • SPDR S&P Retail (NYSE: XRT) down 1.56% to $37.35. The ETF filled the high gap it saw at the open, weighed down from an overall negative sentiment from te Fed's Beige Book mid-afternoon yesterday. The beige book reported growth in 12 regional districts, but only slight advances in retail sales.

  • Consumer Staples Select Sector SPDR (NYSE: XLP) down 1.58% to $26.81. Concerning earnings reports from Colgate-Palmolive Co. (NYSE: CL) and Kellogg Company (NYSE: K).
