Vertex Pharmaceuticals, Inc. (NASDAQ: VRTX) 54% HIGHER; announced data from a Phase 2 study of VX-661 and ivacaftor that showed statistically significant improvements in lung function among adults with cystic fibrosis (CF) who have two copies (homozygous) of the most common mutation in the cystic fibrosis transmembrane conductance regulator (CFTR) gene, known as F508del. The study evaluated four dose levels of VX-661 (10, 30, 100 and 150 mg) dosed once daily for 28 days in combination with ivacaftor (150 mg) dosed twice daily.

Air Methods Corp (NASDAQ: AIRM) 20% LOWER; said preliminary net revenue per community-based transport for the first quarter 2013 was $9,108, as compared with $10,072 in the prior-year quarter, a 10% decrease. This decrease was almost entirely attributed to deterioration in the percentage of privately insured patients transported, which declined from 36% to 32% of total patients transported, compared with fourth quarter of 2012. As a result of these factors, the Company expects to report a net loss of approximately $0.14 to $0.16 per share for the first quarter of 2013, compared with net income of $0.32 per share in the prior-year quarter. The consensus is $0.32.

Restoration Hardware Holdings (NYSE: RH) 8% HIGHER; reported Q4 EPS of $0.64, $0.04 better than the analyst estimate of $0.60. Revenue for the quarter came in at $398.05 million versus the consensus estimate of $390.86 million. Restoration Hardware Holdings sees Q1 2013 EPS of $-0.02-0.0, versus the consensus of $-0.04. Restoration Hardware Holdings sees Q1 2013 revenue of $280-285 million, versus the consensus of $253.08 million.

Lattice Semiconductor Corp (NASDAQ: LSCC) 7% LOWER; reported Q1 EPS of $0.02, $0.01 better than the analyst estimate of $0.01. Revenue for the quarter came in at $71.2 million versus the consensus estimate of $70.56 million.

Cobalt International Energy, Inc. (NYSE: CIE) 6% LOWER; announced that its drill stem test of the lowest interval drilled in the Cameia #2 well in Block 21, offshore Angola, did not produce measurable hydrocarbons. The Cameia #2 drill stem test did however confirm the existence of a lower interval potentially capable of high flow rates across the basin. This interval had not previously been penetrated or tested in the Kwanza Basin.

Advanced Micro Devices, Inc. (NYSE: AMD) 5% LOWER; reported Q1 EPS of ($0.13), $0.04 better than the analyst estimate of ($0.17). Revenue for the quarter came in at $1.09 billion versus the consensus estimate of $1.05 billion. For the second quarter of 2013, AMD expects revenue to increase 2 percent, plus or minus 3 percent, sequentially.

IBM (NYSE: IBM) 5% LOWER; reported Q1 EPS of $3.00, up 8% from last year but $0.05 worse than the analyst estimate of $3.05. Revenue for the quarter fell 5%, or 3% adjusting for currency, to $23.4 billion versus the consensus estimate of $24.69 billion.

B&G Foods (NYSE: BGS) 5% HIGHER; reported Q1 EPS of $0.37, in-line with the analyst estimate of $0.37. Revenue for the quarter came in at $171.2 million versus the consensus estimate of $170.31 million.

E*TRADE Financial Corp. (NASDAQ: ETFC) 5% HIGHER; reported Q1 EPS of $0.12, in-line with the analyst estimate of $0.12. Revenue for the quarter came in at $420 million versus the consensus estimate of $438.38 million.

Intuitive Surgical, Inc. (NASDAQ: ISRG) 4% LOWER; reported Q1 EPS of $4.56, $0.56 better than the analyst estimate of $4.00. Revenue for the quarter rose 23% to $611 million versus the consensus estimate of $583.59 million. Says procedure growth will be at lower end of 20-23%. Revenues growth at higher end of prior 16-19% view.

Cepheid, Inc. (NASDAQ: CPHD) 4% HIGHER; reported Q1 EPS of $0.11, $0.13 better than the analyst estimate of ($0.02). Revenue for the quarter came in at $91.9 million versus the consensus estimate of $89.12 million.Cepheid, Inc. reaffirmed FY2013 guidance.

Chipotle Mexican Grill (NYSE: CMG) 4% HIGHER; reported first quarter 2013 EPS of $2.45, $0.31 better than the analyst estimate of $2.14. Revenue for the quarter rose 13.4% from last year to $726.8 million and beat the consensus estimate of $724.77 million.

Microsoft Corp. (NASDAQ: MSFT) 2% HIGHER; reported Q3 EPS of $0.72, $0.04 better than the analyst estimate of $0.68. Revenue for the quarter came in at $20.49 billion versus the consensus estimate of $20.56 billion.

Google, Inc. (Nasdaq: GOOG) 2% HIGHER; reported Q1 EPS of $11.58, $0.89 better than the analyst estimate of $10.69. Revenue for the quarter came in at $13.97 billion versus the consensus estimate of $14.04 billion. Ex-TAC revs of $11.0 billion, versus $11.2 billion consensus.

Acacia Research (NASDAQ: ACTG) 2% LOWER; reported Q1 EPS of $0.47, $0.05 better than the analyst estimate of $0.42. Revenue for the quarter came in at $76.86 million versus the consensus estimate of $58.68 million.
