Dynavax Technologies (Nasdaq: DVAX) 34% HIGHER; Announced statistically significant results from the primary endpoint analysis of a Phase 3 trial comparing HEPLISAV, its hepatitis B virus vaccine, to GlaxoSmithKline's (NYSE: GSK) Engerix-B vaccine in a difficult-to-immunize population of older adults.

Dress Barn (Nasdaq: DBRN) 16.4% HIGHER; Reports Q1 EPS of $0.40, 3 cents better than estimates.(0.37) Revenues were $358.4 million vs. $351.7 million consensus. As a result of the record first quarter earnings performance, the Company has raised its earnings guidance per diluted share for the full fiscal year ending July 28, 2007 to the range of $1.30 to $1.35 from its previous earnings guidance of $1.25 to $1.30 per diluted share. 3Com Corporation (Nasdaq: COMS) 7.8% LOWER; Agreed to buy Huawei Technologies' 49 percent stake in Huawei-3Com (H3C) for $882 million, which represents an implied equity value of $1.8 billion. The transaction is subject to customary approval in the People's Republic of China.

New York Times Co. (NYSE: NYT) 6.6% HIGHER; Reports from The NY Post says AIG's former CEO, Hank Greenberg, has been buying hundreds of thousands of NYT shares.

Aeropostale (NYSE: ARO) 6.4% HIGHER; Reports Q3 EPS of $0.61, including $0.01 charge and $0.03 loss from JimmyZ subsidiary. Revenues came in at $385.5 million versus the consensus of $384.38 million. Sees Q4 EPS of $0.89-$0.91 versus the consensus of $0.90.
