China Precision Steel, Inc. (Nasdaq: CPSL) 34% HIGHER; continues to see upside momentum, adding another 29% in early action. The stock rose 24.6% last Thursday, 22.8% last Friday and 50% yesterday. The stock started last week at $3.40 per share - the stock is now at $10.62.
Superconductor Technologies Inc. (Nasdaq: SCON) 25% HIGHER; Signed a term sheet to form a joint venture with Hunchun BaoLi Communication Co. Ltd. (BAOLI) by the end of 2007.
HandHeld Entertainment (NASDAQ: ZVUE) 25% HIGHER; announced the fulfillment of a 10,000-unit initial order of its ZVUE 250 MP3 video players and the establishment of a new distribution channel. The company said the units are part of a rewards program for a major United States-based credit card and represents their largest order in its history.
McCormick & Schmick\'s Seafood Restaurants, Inc. (Nasdaq: MSSR) 21% LOWER; now anticipates Q3 revenues of approximately $88.0 million, flat comparable sales, and earnings per share of approximately $0.16. This compares to earlier guidance of $90.0 million to $91.0 million in revenues, an increase in comparable sales of 1.5% to 2.5%, and earnings per share of $0.21 to $0.23. The Wall Street consensus is $90.6 million and $0.22.
Focus Media Holding Ltd. (Nasdaq: FMCN) 17% HIGHER; Findings from the audit committee\'s investigation into related party transactions were fairly benign.
Panacos Pharmaceuticals, Inc. (NASDAQ: PANC) 16.7% LOWER; announced the resignation of Peyton J. Marshall as Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer to pursue other opportunities and outside personal interests.
Kreisler Manufacturing Corporation (Nasdaq: KRSL) 12.3% HIGHER; For FY07 Net Income rose 69% to $1,960,000. EPS rose 65% to $1.04. Net sales rose 21% to $23,852,000.
Akeena Solar, Inc. (Nasdaq: AKNS) 10% HIGHER; The company and Suntech Power Holdings Co., Ltd. (NYSE: STP) announced that Suntech has signed a letter of intent to manufacture Akeena Solar\'s Andalay solar panels.
Kirby Corporation (NYSE: KEX) 8.5% HIGHER; expects its 2007 third quarter net earnings to exceed $.60 per share, above earnings guidance of $.53 to $.58 per share. The consensus is $.57.
EchoStar Communications (Nasdaq: DISH) 6.7% HIGHER; said its Board of Directors has directed Management to pursue a possible separation of its businesses into two distinct publicly traded companies.
Lowe\'s Companies, Inc. (NYSE: LOW) 5% LOWER; indicated current sales are trending below its prior expectations as drought conditions in the mid-Atlantic, Southeastern and Western regions of the country have impacted the performance of outdoor categories. The company now expects to deliver earnings for the fiscal year at the low end or slightly below its prior guidance of $1.97 to 2.01. The Wall Street consensus is $1.99.
