CT Communications (Nasdaq: CTCI) 45% HIGHER; Announced a definitive agreement to merge with Windstream Corporation (NYSE: WIN) in a deal worth $31.50 per share in cash.

Bradley Pharmaceuticals (NYSE: BDY) 22.8% HIGHER; President and CEO Daniel Glassman submitted a proposal to acquire all of the outstanding equity at a cash purchase price of $21.50 per share.

Washington Group International (NYSE: WNG) 16% HIGHER; URS Corporation (NYSE: URS) announced the acquisition of Washington Group International in a cash and stock transaction valued at approximately $2.6 billion.

Avaya Inc. (NYSE: AV) 16.8% HIGHER; According to reports from the Wall Street Journal, Avaya Inc. is in takeover talks with a private-equity firm and a strategic buyer about selling all or part of the company.

InfoSpace Inc. (Nasdaq: INSP) 15% HIGHER; According to reports from Bloomberg, citing Spanish newspaper Negocio, LaNetro Zed SA may look to acquire InfoSpace for $1.07 billion.

Advanced Medical Optics (NYSE: EYE) 13% LOWER; The Company is immediately and voluntarily recalling its Complete MoisturePlus contact lens solutions In response to information received today from the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) regarding eye infections from Acanthamoeba, a naturally occurring water-borne organism which can contribute to serious corneal infections.

Archstone-Smith Trust (NYSE: ASN) 10% HIGHER; According to reports from the Wall Street Journal, Tishman Speyer Properties and Lehman Brothers Holdings are near a deal to purchase REIT Archstone-Smith Trust for more than $12 billion.

CDW Corp. (Nasdaq: CDWC) 10% HIGHER; According to reports from the Wall Street Journal, private equity firms are in talks to acquire CDW Corp. Madison Dearborn Partners is said to be in the lead to buy the company.
