Barnes & Noble's (NYSE: BKS) 25% HIGHER; Microsoft (Nasdaq: MSFT) plans to spend $1 billion for digital assets of Nook, according to reports in TechCrunch, citing internal documents. Microsoft plans to redeem preferred units in Nook as part of the plan.

Tesla Motors, Inc. (NASDAQ: TSLA) 25% HIGHER; reported Q1 EPS of $0.12, $0.08 better than the analyst estimate of $0.04. Revenue for the quarter came in at $562 million versus the consensus estimate of $492.02 million. Gross margin improved 9 points to 17 percent. "While we expect to build about 5,000 Model S vehicles in Q2, some cars will be in transit to Europe for start of deliveries in Q3. As a result, we expect to deliver slightly over 4,500 vehicles during Q2, all in North America. For the full year of 2013, we expect to exceed our prior target of 20,000 worldwide deliveries and feel comfortable raising guidance to about 21,000 deliveries.

Ctrip.com Int'l (NASDAQ: CTRP) 17% HIGHER; reported Q1 EPS of $0.18, $0.06 better than the analyst estimate of $0.12. Revenue for the quarter came in at $198 million versus the consensus estimate of $172.63 million. For the second quarter of 2013, the Company expects to continue the net revenue growth year-on-year at a rate of approximately 15-20%.

Rackspace Hosting (NYSE: RAX) 17% LOWER; reported Q1 EPS of $0.19, $0.01 worse than the analyst estimate of $0.20. Revenue for the quarter came in at $362.2 million versus the consensus estimate of $367.2 million.

XOMA Corporation (NASDAQ: XOMA) 17% HIGHER; upgraded at Canaccord Genuity

Ocean Power Technologies, Inc. (NASDAQ: OPTT) 14% HIGHER; Ascendiant Capital Starts Ocean Power (OPTT) at Strong Buy

Monster Beverage (NASDAQ: MNST) 13% LOWER; reported Q1 EPS of $0.37, $0.09 worse than the analyst estimate of $0.46. Revenue for the quarter came in at $484.2 million versus the consensus estimate of $501.74 million.

Green Mountain Coffee Roasters (NASDAQ: GMCR) 12% HIGHER; reported Q2 EPS of $0.93, $0.20 better than the analyst estimate of $0.73. Revenue for the quarter came in at $1 billion versus the consensus estimate of $1.02 billion. Green Mountain Coffee Roasters sees FY2013 EPS of $3.05-3.15, versus the consensus of $2.84. Green Mountain Coffee Roasters sees Q3 2013 EPS of $0.71-0.78, versus the consensus of $0.65.

McDermott International, Inc. (NYSE: MDR) 8% LOWER; reported Q1 EPS of $0.09, $0.06 worse than the analyst estimate of $0.15. Revenue for the quarter came in at $807.5 million versus the consensus estimate of $748.58 million. At March 31, 2013, the Company’s backlog was $5.3 billion, compared to $5.8 billion and $5.1 billion at March 31, 2012 and December 31, 2012, respectively.

Polypore International (NYSE: PPO) 8% LOWER; reported Q1 EPS of $0.27, $0.13 worse than the analyst estimate of $0.40. Revenue for the quarter came in at $163.5 million versus the consensus estimate of $175.9 million.
