Oncothyreon Inc. (Nasdaq: ONTY) 60% LOWER; announced that the pivotal Phase 3 clinical trial of L-BLP25 (formerly referred to as Stimuvax®) known as START did not meet its primary endpoint of an improvement in overall survival in patients with unresectable, locally advanced stage IIIA or stage IIIB non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC). The trial was conducted by Merck Serono, a division of Merck KGaA of Darmstadt, Germany, under a license agreement with Oncothyreon.

Alterra Capital Holdings Limited (NASDAQ: ALTE) 20% HIGHER; Markel Corporation (NYSE: MKL) to acquire the company for approximately $3.13 billion.

PLX Technology Inc. (NASDAQ: PLXT) 20% LOWER; FTC seeks to block Integrated Device Technology's (Nasdaq: IDTI) plan to buy the company.

Rocky Mountain Chocolate Factory Inc. (NASDAQ: RMCF) 10% HIGHER; PST Capital Group LTD. submitted a letter to the board of directors of Rocky Mountain Chocolate Factory, Inc. (Nasdaq: RMCF) proposing to acquire all of the Company's outstanding common and preferred stock, and outstanding options to acquire such shares, in a recommended cash tender offer at a price per share of US$13.50.

Symmetricom, Inc. (NASDAQ: SYMM) 10% LOWER; lowers Q2 guidance. Second quarter revenue is expected to range from $46.0 to $49.0 million, a revision from previous revenue guidance of $55.0 to $62.0 million and the consensus of $58 million. The company expects a GAAP loss for the second quarter of fiscal 2013 in the range of $(0.11) to $(0.05) per share and non-GAAP loss in the range of $(0.05) to $(0.01) per share versus the consensus of a $0.07 profit.

General Motors (NYSE: GM) 8% HIGHER; announces a 200 million share buyback of the the Treasury stake with plans by the Treasury to exit the entire position in 12-15 months

Blyth, Inc. (NYSE: BTH) 8% HIGHER; announced that it and the other members of ViSalus have reached an agreement whereby Blyth increased its ownership in ViSalus to more than 80% for a payment of $57.4 million to the other members of ViSalus.

avistar International (NYSE: NAV) 7% LOWER; reported Q4 GAAP loss of ($40.13), which may not compare with the analyst estimate of ($1.12). Revenue for the quarter came in at $3.28 billion versus the consensus estimate of $3.18 billion.

Knight Capital Group, Inc. (NYSE: KCG) 7% HIGHER; Agreed to $3.75/share takeover deal from Getco

Health Net, Inc. (NYSE: HNT) 5% LOWER; announced its 2013 annual guidance of $2.00 to $2.10 for GAAP earnings per diluted share. Health Net expects its consolidated revenues for the combined Western Region Operations (Western Region) and Government Contracts segments in 2013 will be between approximately $10.7 billion and $11.2 billion. The Street sees FY13 EPS of $2.12 and revs of $12.08 billion.

Career Education Corp (NASDAQ: CECO) 5% HIGHER; disclsoed that on December 5, 2012, the Accrediting Commission of Career Schools and Colleges (ACCSC) sent letters notifying Career Education Corporation that at its recent meeting, ACCSC vacated the June 2012 show cause order for all ten of the Company's ACCSC-accredited campuses. These campuses are now free to pursue new program approvals. These campuses were asked to provide additional data regarding the reporting of employment placements and independent re-verification of placements on a periodic basis.

Gardner Denver Inc. (NYSE: GDI) 3% HIGHER; SPX deal could be worth up to $85/share

Gulfport Energy Corporation (Nasdaq: GPOR) 3% LOWER; announced the pricing of an underwritten public offering of 11,000,000 shares of its common stock at a price to the public of $38.00 per share.

Home Loan Servicing Solutions, Ltd. (Nasdaq: HLSS) 3% LOWER; priced a public offering of 25,300,000 of its ordinary shares at a public offering price of $19.00.

Alcoa's (NYSE: AA) 2% LOWER; Moody's Investors Service placed Alcoa's Baa3 senior unsecured and Prime-3 short-term rating under review for downgrade.

Pall Corp. (NYSE: PLL) 2% LOWER; Lisa McDermott, Chief Financial Officer and Treasurer, will be leaving the Company effective March 10, 2013, in order to pursue other interests. While an external search is underway, Ms. McDermott will continue to serve the Company as CFO until her departure on March 10, 2013 or as soon as her successor is named.

Apogee Enterprises, Inc. (NASDAQ: APOG) 2% HIGHER; reported Q3 EPS of $0.28, $0.05 better than the analyst estimate of $0.23. Revenue for the quarter came in at $190.4 million versus the consensus estimate of $185.65 million. Apogee Enterprises, Inc. sees FY2013 EPS of $0.62-0.67, versus prior guidance of $0.56-0.64 and the consensus of $0.65.

Oracle Corp (NASDAQ: ORCL) 2% HIGHER; reported Q2 EPS of $0.64, $0.03 better than the analyst estimate of $0.61. Revenue for the quarter came in at $9.1 billion versus the consensus estimate of $9.03 billion.

Regions Financial (NYSE: RF) 2% HIGHER; upgraded at Morgan Stanley

Fedex Corp. (NYSE: FDX) 2% HIGHER; reported Q2 EPS of $1.39, $0.02 worse than the analyst estimate of $1.41. Revenue for the quarter came in at $11.1 billion versus the consensus estimate of $10.84 billion.

AAR Corp. (NYSE: AIR) 1% HIGHER; reported Q2 EPS of $0.44, $0.03 better than the analyst estimate of $0.41. Revenue for the quarter came in at $512.8 million versus the consensus estimate of $544.54 million. Sees FY13 EPS of $1.70-1.80, versus prior guidance of $1.60-1.70 and the consensus of $1.73.

KBR (NYSE: KBR) 1% HIGHER; declared a quarterly dividend of $0.08 per share, or $0.32 annualized. This is a 60% increase from the prior dividend of $0.05.
