Tekmira Pharmaceuticals Corporation (NASDAQ: TKMR) 22% HIGHER; entered into a settlement agreement with Alnylam Pharmaceuticals, Inc. that resolves all litigation between the companies, and signed a new licensing agreement that restructures the relationship and provides clarity on all intellectual property and licensing issues between the companies. As a result of the restructuring and new agreements, Tekmira will receive $65 million within 10 days and is eligible to receive $10 million in near-term milestone payments expected to be received in 2013.

Hi-Crush (NYSE: HCLP) 21% LOWER; announced today the termination of the supply agreement with Baker Hughes Oilfield Operations, Inc. On September 19, 2012, Baker Hughes provided notice that it was terminating the contract. Hi-Crush believes that Baker Hughes’ termination was wrongful and a direct effort to circumvent its binding purchase obligations under the supply agreement. Hi-Crush engaged in discussions with Baker Hughes after receiving the notice, but the parties were unable to reach a mutually satisfactory resolution of the matter.

Nanosphere, Inc. (Nasdaq: NSPH) 12% HIGHER; announced today the US Food and Drug Administration (FDA) granted 510(k) clearance permitting marketing of its CYP2C19 Nucleic Acid Test (CYP2C19 Test) on the automated sample-to-result Verigene® System.

Galena Biopharma (NASDAQ: GALE) 12% HIGHER; reported Q3 EPS of ($0.09), in-line with the analyst estimate of ($0.09).

AK Steel (NYSE: AKS) 10% LOWER; now expects shipments of approximately 1,375,000 to 1,400,000 tons in the fourth quarter of 2012 compared to shipments of 1,363,500 tons in the third quarter of 2012.

Cornerstone OnDemand (NASDAQ: CSOD) 10% HIGHER; reported Q3 EPS of ($0.07), $0.01 worse than the analyst estimate of ($0.06). Revenue for the quarter came in at $30.8 million versus the consensus estimate of $30.22 million. Q3 Bookings of $42.7 million, up 78% year-over-year.

Microsoft Corp. (Nasdaq: MSFT) 5% LOWER; announced that Windows and Windows Live President Steven Sinofsky will be leaving the company and that Julie Larson-Green will be promoted to lead all Windows software and hardware engineering. Tami Reller retains her roles as chief financial officer and chief marketing officer and will assume responsibility for the business of Windows. Both executives will report directly to Microsoft CEO Steve Ballmer.

Markwest Energy Partners, LP (NYSE: MWE) 4% LOWER; is commencing a public offering of 8,500,000 common units

Dicks Sporting Goods, Inc. (NYSE: DKS) 4% HIGHER; reported Q3 EPS of $0.40, $0.03 better than the analyst estimate of $0.37. Revenue for the quarter came in at $1.3 billion versus the consensus estimate of $1.3 billion. Dicks Sporting Goods, Inc. sees FY2012 EPS of $2.53-2.55, versus prior guidance of $2.47-2.51 and the consensus of $2.54.

Complete Genomics, Inc. (NASDAQ: GNOM) 4% HIGHER; Discloses $3.30 shares unsolicited offer.

Molycorp (NYSE: MCP) 4% LOWER; Morgan Stanley downgraded from Overweight to Equalweigh

Transcept Pharmaceuticals, Inc. (NASDAQ: TSPT) 3% HIGHER; reported Q3 EPS of $0.25, $0.19 better than the analyst estimate of $0.06. Revenue for the quarter came in at $10.44 million versus the consensus estimate of $8.37 million.

Lumber Liquidators (NYSE: LL) 3% LOWER; Stifel Nicolaus downgraded from Hold to Sell.

F5 Networks (NASDAQ: FFIV) 2% HIGHER; Goldman Sachs upgraded from Neutral to Buy with a price target of $106.00 (from $104.00).

Hologic, Inc. (NASDAQ: HOLX) 2% LOWER; reported Q4 EPS of $0.37, $0.03 better than the analyst estimate of $0.34. Revenue for the quarter came in at $588.5 million versus the consensus estimate of $558.7 million. Hologic, Inc. sees Q1 2013 EPS of $0.37, which may not compare to the consensus of $0.36. Hologic, Inc. sees Q1 2013 revenue of $640-645 million. Hologic, Inc. sees FY2013 EPS of $1.56-1.58, which may not compare the consensus of $1.51. Hologic, Inc. sees FY2013 revenue of $2.61-2.64 billion.

Home Depot, Inc. (NYSE: HD) 2% HIGHER; reported Q3 EPS of $0.74, $0.04 better than the analyst estimate of $0.70. Revenue for the quarter came in at $18.1 billion versus the consensus estimate of $17.89 billion. Comparable store sales for the third quarter of fiscal 2012 were positive 4.2 percent, and comp sales for U.S. stores were positive 4.3 percent. Home Depot, Inc. sees FY2012 EPS of $3.03, versus the consensus of $2.97. Sees FY12 revs up 5.2 percent. The company previously expected sales to be up about 4.6 percent.

Fusion-io (NYSE: FIO) 2% HIGHER; Craig-Hallum upgraded from Sell to Buy with a price target of $32.00.

Vodafone (NYSE: VOD) 1% HIGHER; Verizon Wireless (NYSE: VZ) announced that its Board of Representatives has declared distributions aggregating $8.5 billion to its owners, which are payable on or prior to December 31, 2012. The distributions will be paid in one or more tranches, with each tranche paid in proportion to the owners' partnership interests on the payment date.

Michael Kors Holdings (NYSE: KORS) 1% HIGHER; reported Q2 EPS of $0.49, $0.09 better than the analyst estimate of $0.40. Revenue for the quarter rose 74% to $532.9 million versus the consensus estimate of $519.31 million. Michael Kors Holdings sees Q3 2013 EPS of $0.37-0.39, versus the consensus of $0.39. Sees revenues of $525-$535 million, versus the consensus of $523.55 million. Michael Kors Holdings sees FY2013 EPS of $1.48-1.50, versus prior guidance of $1.39-1.41 and the consensus of $1.45. Sees revenues of $1.86-$1.96 billion, versus the consensus of $1.98 billion.
