Sears Holding Corp. (NASDAQ: SHLD) 7% LOWER; reported Q3 EPS of ($1.99), $0.19 better than the analyst estimate of ($2.18). Revenue for the quarter came in at $8.86 billion versus the consensus estimate of $8.59 billion.
Sina Corp (NASDAQ: SINA) 6% LOWER; reported Q3 EPS of $0.17, $0.06 better than the analyst estimate of $0.11. Revenue for the quarter came in at $147.7 million versus the consensus estimate of $146.03 million. Sina Corp sees Q4 2012 revenue of $132-136 million, versus the consensus of $151.90 million.
Aruba Networks, Inc. (NASDAQ: ARUN) 5% HIGHER; reported Q1 EPS of $0.18, $0.01 better than the analyst estimate of $0.17. Revenue for the quarter came in at $144.5 million versus the consensus estimate of $142.61 million.
Celldex Therapeutics, Inc. (NASDAQ: CLDX) 5% HIGHER; announced today the presentation of three-year survival data from the Phase 2 rindopepimut clinical program in EGFRvIII-positive glioblastomaa more aggressive form of glioblastoma typically associated with reduced long-term survival in comparison to the glioblastoma population as a whole.
Geron Corporation (NYSE: GERN) 3% HIGHER; announced that the company has entered into a non-binding letter of intent (LOI) with BioTime, Inc. (NYSE: BTX) and BioTime`s recently formed subsidiary, BioTime Acquisition Corporation (BAC). The LOI contains broad terms of a potential transaction through which Geron would contribute to BAC its intellectual property and other assets related to Geron`s discontinued human embryonic stem cell programs. BioTime would contribute to BAC $5 million in cash, $30 million of BioTime common shares, warrants to purchase eight (8) million shares of BioTime at a pre-specified price (the "BioTime Warrants"), rights to use certain human embryonic stem cell lines, and minority stakes in two of BioTime`s subsidiaries.
Marvell Technology Group (NASDAQ: MRVL) 3% HIGHER; reported Q3 EPS of $0.20, in-line with the analyst estimate of $0.20. Revenue for the quarter came in at $781 million versus the consensus estimate of $774.2 million.
Gap, Inc. (NYSE: GPS) 3% HIGHER; reported Q3 EPS of $0.63, in-line with the analyst estimate of $0.63. Revenue for the quarter came in at $3.86 billion versus the consensus estimate of $3.82 billion. The company increased its fiscal year 2012 diluted earnings per share guidance to be in the range of $2.20 to $2.25. The consensus is $2.27

Hertz Global Holdings, Inc. (NYSE: HTZ) 1% HIGHER; reached an agreement with the U.S. Federal Trade Commission (FTC) allowing Hertz to complete its acquisition of Dollar Thrifty Automotive Group, Inc. (NYSE: DTG). Under the terms of the proposed consent order that was approved by the FTC for public comment, Hertz is required to divest its Advantage business, selected airport concessions and certain other assets following the closing of the acquisition.
Applied Materials, Inc. (NASDAQ: AMAT) 1% HIGHER; reported Q4 EPS of $0.06, $0.03 better than the analyst estimate of $0.03. Revenue for the quarter came in at $1.65 billion versus the consensus estimate of $1.58 billion. Sees Q1 sales flat to down 15 percent.
