ARIAD Pharmaceuticals, Inc. (NASDAQ: ARIA) 44.2% LOWER; temporarily suspending the marketing and commercial distribution of Iclusig® (ponatinib), a treatment for patients with resistant or intolerant chronic myeloid leukemia (CML) and Philadelphia-chromosome positive acute lymphoblastic leukemia (Ph+ ALL), in the United States, while it continues to negotiate updates to the U.S. prescribing information for Iclusig and implementation of a risk mitigation strategy.

ALCO Stores, Inc. (Nasdaq: ALCS) 29.8% LOWER; announced that, at the special meeting of the Company's shareholders, held on October 30, 2013, the proposal to adopt the Agreement and Plan of Merger, dated as of July 25, 2013 (the "Merger Agreement"), by and among Mallard Parent, LLC, M Acquisition Corporation and the Company, did not receive approval from more than a majority of the outstanding shares of the Company's common stock. The Merger Agreement was therefore not approved by the Company's shareholders. As a result of the failure to receive such shareholder approval, also on October 30, 2013, the Company terminated the Merger Agreement and abandoned the merger contemplated thereby.

Weight Watchers Int'l (NYSE: WTW) 16.6% LOWER; reported Q3 EPS of $1.07, $0.22 better than the analyst estimate of $0.85. Revenue for the quarter came in at $393.9 million versus the consensus estimate of $385.63 million. Discovery Laboratories, Inc. (Nasdaq: DSCO) 8.9% LOWER; has priced an underwritten public offering of 25 million shares of its common stock, at a price to the public of $2.00 per share for gross proceeds of $50 million. Net proceeds, after underwriting discount and other estimated fees and expenses payable by the Company, are expected to be approximately $47 million. The offering is expected to close on or about November 5, 2013, subject to satisfaction of customary closing conditions. In addition, the underwriters have been granted a 30-day option to purchase up to an additional 3.75 million shares of common stock to cover over-allotments, if any. Stifel and Piper Jaffray & Co. are acting as joint bookrunning managers for the offering, Lazard Capital Markets LLC is acting as co-lead manager and Roth Capital Partners, LLC is acting as co-manager.
