Cynapsus Therapeutics Inc. (NASDAQ: CYNA) 115% HIGHER; Sunovion Pharmaceuticals Inc. and Cynapsus Therapeutics Inc. (NASDAQ: CYNA) announced that the companies have signed a definitive agreement under which Sunovion will acquire Cynapsus for US$40.50 per share in cash. The transaction has received unanimous approval by the Board of Directors of both companies and values Cynapsus at approximately US$624 million (or approximately CAN$820 million). The acquisition will be funded with cash on hand. The transaction is expected to close in the fourth quarter of 2016 (third quarter of Sunovion’s fiscal year). This agreement reflects Sunovion’s global strategy to expand and diversify its portfolio in key therapeutic areas, including neurology.

Genesco (NYSE: GCO) 17.8% LOWER; reported Q2 EPS of $0.34, $0.07 better than the analyst estimate of $0.27. Revenue for the quarter came in at $625.6 million versus the consensus estimate of $642.53 million. Comps fell 1 percent, versus expectations of a 1 percent increase. GUIDANCE: Genesco sees FY2017 EPS of $3.80-$4.00, versus prior guidance of $4.80-$4.90 and the consensus of $4.91.

Oxford Industries (NYSE: OXM) 9.8% HIGHER; reported Q2 EPS of $1.48, $0.10 better than the analyst estimate of $1.38. Revenue for the quarter came in at $283 million versus the consensus estimate of $274.55 million. GUIDANCE: Oxford Industries sees Q3 2016 EPS of ($0.05)-$0.05, versus the consensus of ($0.08). Oxford Industries sees Q3 2016 revenue of $220-230 million, versus the consensus of $219.2 million. For the full year, the Company has affirmed its guidance.

Ollie's Bargain Outlet (NASDAQ: OLLI) 9.7% HIGHER; reported Q2 EPS of $0.21, $0.03 better than the analyst estimate of $0.18. Revenue for the quarter came in at $211.3 million versus the consensus estimate of $207.61 million. Comparable store sales increased 3.5%. GUIDANCE: Ollie's Bargain Outlet sees FY2016 EPS of $0.88-$0.90, versus the consensus of $0.87. Ollie's Bargain Outlet sees FY2016 revenue of $880-885 million, versus the consensus of $879.99 million.

Clean Energy Fuels Corp. (Nasdaq: CLNE) 9.3% HIGHER; announced that it has been awarded a multi-year contract for Washington Metropolitan Area Transit Authority (WMATA), which provides transit services to more than 4 million people across the National Capital Region. The contract covers two transit stations that supply over 580 compressed natural gas (CNG) transit vehicles and represents approximately 6 million Gasoline Gallon Equivalents (GGEs) per year.

Array BioPharma (Nasdaq: ARRY) 8.2% HIGHER; announced that the FDA has accepted its New Drug Application (NDA) for binimetinib with a target action date under the Prescription Drug User Fee Act (PDUFA) of June 30, 2017.

salesforce.com (NYSE: CRM) 6.7% LOWER; reported Q2 EPS of $0.24, $0.02 better than the analyst estimate of $0.22. Revenue for the quarter came in at $2.04 billion versus the consensus estimate of $2.02 billion. GUIDANCE: salesforce.com sees Q3 2017 EPS of $0.20-$0.21, versus the consensus of $0.20. salesforce.com sees Q3 2017 revenue of $2.11-2.12 billion, versus the consensus of $2.13 billion. salesforce.com sees FY2017 EPS of $0.93-$0.95, versus the consensus of $0.95. salesforce.com sees FY2017 revenue of $8.28-8.33 million, versus the consensus of $8.31 million.

Melco Crown Entertainment (NASDAQ: MPEL) 6.2% HIGHER; Macau August gross gaming revenue rose 1.1% to 18.8 billion patacus, according to the city's Gaming Inspection and Coordination Bureau. The uptick was the first positive monthly year-over-year growth in more than two years.

Shoe Carnival (NASDAQ: SCVL) 5.6% LOWER; reported Q2 EPS of $0.22, $0.05 worse than the analyst estimate of $0.27. Revenue for the quarter came in at $231.9 million versus the consensus estimate of $237.22 million. Comparable store sales increased 0.5 percent in the second quarter of 2016. Shoe Carnival sees FY2016 EPS of $1.58-$1.65, versus the consensus of $1.62. Shoe Carnival sees FY2016 revenue of $1.012-1.016 billion, versus the consensus of $1.02 billion.

Impinj (NASDAQ: PI) 5% HIGHER; reported Q2 EPS of $0.06, $0.04 better than the analyst estimate of $0.02. Revenue for the quarter came in at $26 million versus the consensus estimate of $25.31 million. GUIDANCE: Impinj sees Q3 2016 EPS of $0.01-$0.09, versus the consensus of $0.04. Impinj sees Q3 2016 revenue of $27.4-28.9 million, versus the consensus of $26.8 million.

GUIDANCE: Five Below sees Q3 2016 EPS of $0.09-$0.10, versus the consensus of $0.10. Five Below sees Q3 2016 revenue of $199-202 million, versus the consensus of $203.89 million. assuming a 1% to 2% increase in comparable sales. Five Below sees FY2016 EPS of $1.28-$1.32, versus the consensus of $1.31. Five Below sees FY2016 revenue of $1-1.009 billion, versus the consensus of $1.01 billion.

Charter Communications Inc. (NASDAQ: CHTR) 3.7% HIGHER; will replace EMC in the S&P 500 after the close of trading on Wednesday, September 7.

Revenue for the quarter came in at $135.9 million versus the consensus estimate of $135.27 million. GUIDANCE: Semtech sees Q3 2017 EPS of $0.34-$0.38, versus the consensus of $0.36. Semtech sees Q3 2017 revenue of $134-142 million, versus the consensus of $137.3 million.
