Today's Pre-Open Stock Movers

AEP Industries (NASDAQ: AEPI) 42% HIGHER; Berry Plastics Group, Inc. (NYSE: BERY) and AEP Industries (NASDAQ: AEPI) have entered into a definitive merger agreement under which Berry will acquire all of the outstanding shares of AEP in a cash and stock transaction. Aggregate consideration will be $765 million, including AEPs net debt. Each AEP shareholder will elect to receive either $110 in cash or 2.5011 shares of Berry common stock per AEP share in the transaction, subject to an overall 50/50 proration to ensure that 50% of the total outstanding AEP shares are exchanged for the cash consideration. Upon closing, AEP shareholders will own approximately 5 percent of Berry on a fully diluted basis. Based on Berrys closing stock price on August 23, 2016, the date the exchange ratio was set, the blended value of the merger consideration represented $110 per AEP share. Based on yesterdays closing price of Berrys stock, the blended value of the merger consideration represented $109.12 per AEP share.

Nymox Pharmaceutical (NASDAQ: NYMX) 19.6% HIGHER; adds to yesterday's 83% surge after the company announced successful new study results from the long-term blinded placebo crossover group from the U.S. Phase 3 trials for fexapotide, the Company's lead compound in late stage development for enlarged prostate (BPH) and for localized prostate cancer.

Guess? (NYSE: GES) 16% HIGHER; reported Q2 EPS of $0.14, $0.07 better than the analyst estimate of $0.07. Revenue for the quarter came in at $545 million versus the consensus estimate of $550.53 million. GUIDANCE: Guess? sees FY2017 EPS of $0.62-$0.75, versus the consensus of $0.60.

Tilly's, Inc. (NYSE: TLYS) 13% HIGHER; reported Q2 EPS of $0.05, $0.08 better than the analyst estimate of ($0.03). Revenue for the quarter came in at $136.4 million versus the consensus estimate of $132.69 million. Comps increased 0.9%. GUIDANCE: Tilly's, Inc. sees Q3 2016 EPS of $0.07-$0.13, versus the consensus of $0.11.

Workday (NYSE: WDAY) 11.2% HIGHER; reported Q2 EPS of ($0.04), $0.02 worse than the analyst estimate of ($0.02). Revenue for the quarter came in at $377.7 million versus the consensus estimate of $372.68 million. Looking ahead, we anticipate third quarter subscription revenues to be within a range of $331 to $333 million and third quarter total revenues to be $398 to $400 million. (Street sees Q3 revenue of $401.3 million).

Signet Jewelers (NYSE: SIG) 9.6% LOWER; reported Q2 EPS of $1.14, $0.31 worse than the analyst estimate of $1.45. Revenue for the quarter came in at $1.4 billion versus the consensus estimate of $1.44 billion. Comps fell 2.3%. GUIDANCE: Signet Jewelers sees Q3 2017 EPS of $0.17-$0.25, versus the consensus of $0.50. Signet Jewelers sees FY2017 EPS of $7.25-$7.55, versus the consensus of $8.22. Also announced that affiliates of Leonard Green & Partners, L.P. will invest $625 million in the form of convertible preferred shares.

Dollar General (NYSE: DG) 8.9% LOWER; reported Q2 EPS of $1.08, $0.01 worse than the analyst estimate of $1.09. Revenue for the quarter came in at $5.39 billion versus the consensus estimate of $5.5 billion. On August 24, 2016, the Board of Directors authorized an additional $1.0 billion for share repurchases, increasing the total authorization for future repurchases to approximately $1.4 billion. The authorization has no expiration date. Dollar General reaffirmed FY2016 guidance.

Dollar Tree (NASDAQ: DLTR) 7.8% LOWER; reported Q2 EPS of $0.72, $0.01 worse than the analyst estimate of $0.73. Revenue for the quarter came in at $5.02 billion versus the consensus estimate of $5.09 billion. Comps rose 1.2%. GUIDANCE: Dollar Tree sees Q3 2016 EPS of $0.76-$0.82, versus the consensus of $0.76. Dollar Tree sees FY2016 EPS of $3.67-$3.82, versus prior guidance of $3.58-$3.80 and the consensus of $3.78. Dollar Tree sees FY2016 revenue of $20.7-20.9 billion, versus the consensus of $21.0 billion.

Tiffany & Co. (NYSE: TIF) 7% HIGHER; reported Q2 EPS of $0.84, $0.12 better than the analyst estimate of $0.72. Revenue for the quarter came in at $932 million versus the consensus estimate of $934.74 million. Constant-currency comps fell 9.0 percent, versus a drop of 7.1 percent expected.

HP, Inc. (NYSE: HPQ) 6.3% LOWER; reported Q3 EPS of $0.48, $0.04 better than the analyst estimate of $0.44. Revenue for the quarter came in at $11.89 billion versus the consensus estimate of $11.47 billion. Sees Q4 non-GAAP EPS from continuing operations to be in the range of $0.34 to $0.37, versus the consensus of $0.41.

Healthways (NASDAQ: HWAY) 6% LOWER; UBS downgraded from Neutral to Sell with a price target of $22.50

JinkoSolar (NYSE: JKS) 5.6% LOWER; reported Q2 EPS of $1.92, $0.06 worse than the analyst estimate of $1.98. Revenue for the quarter came in at $896.1 million versus the consensus estimate of $897.28 million.

Ballard Power Systems (NASDAQ: BLDP) 5% HIGHER; announced that the company's subsidiary, Protonex, received notification from the U.S. Department of Commerce that its family of fuel cell propulsion systems are now designated as EAR99 (Export Administration Regulations 99) compliant, creating a path for commercial export and deployment in a variety of civilian unmanned vehicle applications.

Infinera Corp. (NASDAQ: INFN) 3.6% LOWER; Citi downgraded from Neutral to Sell.

Frank's International (NYSE: FI) 3% LOWER; UBS downgraded from Neutral to Sell with a price target of $7.50 (from $16.00).

Heico Corp. (NYSE: HEI) 1.6% HIGHER; reported Q3 EPS of $0.62, versus $0.51 reported last year. Revenue for the quarter came in at $356.1 million, versus $300.4 million reported last year.

PVH Corp. (NYSE: PVH) 1% HIGHER; reported Q2 EPS of $1.47, $0.18 better than the analyst estimate of $1.29. Revenue for the quarter came in at $1.93 billion versus the consensus estimate of $1.94 billion. GUIDANCE: PVH Corp. sees Q3 2016 EPS of $2.35-$2.40, versus the consensus of $2.39. PVH Corp. sees FY2016 EPS of $6.55-$6.65, versus the consensus of $6.54.

Netflix, Inc. (NASDAQ: NFLX) 0.9% HIGHER; upgraded to Buy at William Blair.
