TomoTherapy (Nasdaq: TOMO) 43% LOWER; reports a Q2 loss of $0.12, 12 cents lower than the analyst estimate of $0.00. Revenues for the quarter were $52 million, versus the consensus of $54.78 million. Sees FY08 revs of $190-$210 million, versus the consensus of $261.6 million. Sees Q3 revs below Q1. Sees FY08 loss of $0.28-$0.43, versus the consensus of $0.14 gain.

Boyd Gaming (NYSE: BYD) 25% HIGHER; reports Q2 earnings of $0.30 per share, ex-items, above the consensus of $0.27. Revenues came in at $460.8 million, versus the consensus of $462.9 million. Increase its share repurchase program to $100 million. Also, announced they plan to delay their Echelon project on the Las Vegas Strip.
USA Mobility (Nasdaq: USMO) 23% HIGHER; reports Q2 EPS of $0.37, 10 cents better than the analyst estimate of $0.27. Revenues for the quarter were $92.1 million, versus the consensus of $91.20 million. Announces a $50 million buyback. Sees FY08 revenue $355-$360 million versus prior guidance $345 to $355 million, consensus is $355 million.
Nanometrics (Nasdaq: NANO) 19% LOWER; reports a Q2 loss of $0.24 adjusted, 16 cents below the analyst estimate of ($0.08). Revenues for the quarter were $23.8 million, versus the consensus of $31.50 million.
thinkorswim Group Inc. (Nasdaq: SWIM) 15% HIGHER; reports Q2 EPS of $0.27, 10 cents better than the analyst estimate of $0.17. Revenues for the quarter were $97 million, versus the consensus of $88.05 million. Announces a buyback of up to 5 million shares

General Motors (NYSE: GM) 8% LOWER; reports a Q2 adjusted loss of $11.21 per share, versus the consensus of a $2.62 loss. Revenues were $38.16 billion, versus the consensus of $44.57 billion. GM'S adjusted net loss was $6.3 billion, and reported net loss of $15.5 billion. Results impacted by $9.1 billion of predominantly non-cash special items. Adjusted operating cash flow was a negative $3.6 billion.
Hansen Medical, Inc. (Nasdaq: HNSN) 8% LOWER; reports a Q2 loss of $0.61, 11 cents lower than the analyst estimate of ($0.50). Revenues for the quarter were $5.8 million, versus the consensus of $7.38 million.
