Elan Corporation (NYSE: ELN) 45% LOWER; Biogen and Elan notified relevant regulatory agencies of two confirmed cases of progressive multifocal leukoencephalopathy (PML) in multiple sclerosis (MS) patients treated with TYSABRI in the commercial setting.

TomoTherapy (Nasdaq: TOMO) 43% LOWER; reports a Q2 loss of $0.12, 12 cents lower than the analyst estimate of $0.00. Revenues for the quarter were $52 million, versus the consensus of $54.78 million. Sees FY08 revs of $190-$210 million, versus the consensus of $261.6 million. Sees Q3 revs below Q1. Sees FY08 loss of $0.28-$0.43, versus the consensus of $0.14 gain.

Biogen Idec (Nasdaq: BIIB) 27% LOWER; Biogen and Elan notified relevant regulatory agencies of two confirmed cases of progressive multifocal leukoencephalopathy (PML) in multiple sclerosis (MS) patients treated with TYSABRI in the commercial setting.

Boyd Gaming (NYSE: BYD) 25% HIGHER; reports Q2 earnings of $0.30 per share, ex-items, above the consensus of $0.27. Revenues came in at $460.8 million, versus the consensus of $462.9 million. Increase its share repurchase program to $100 million. Also, announced they plan to delay their Echelon project on the Las Vegas Strip.

USA Mobility (Nasdaq: USMO) 23% HIGHER; reports Q2 EPS of $0.37, 10 cents better than the analyst estimate of $0.27. Revenues for the quarter were $92.1 million, versus the consensus of $91.20 million. Announces a $50 million buyback. Sees FY08 revenue $355-$360 million versus prior guidance $345 to $355 million, consensus is $355 million.

Nanometrics (Nasdaq: NANO) 19% LOWER; reports a Q2 loss of $0.24 adjusted, 16 cents below the analyst estimate of ($0.08). Revenues for the quarter were $23.8 million, versus the consensus of $31.50 million.

thinkorswim Group Inc. (Nasdaq: SWIM) 15% HIGHER; reports Q2 EPS of $0.27, 10 cents better than the analyst estimate of $0.17. Revenues for the quarter were $97 million, versus the consensus of $88.05 million. Announces a buyback of up to 5 million shares

Chordiant Software (Nasdaq: CHRD) 11% HIGHER; reports Q3 EPS of $0.08, 7 cents better than the analyst estimate of $0.01. Revenues for the quarter were $30.7 million, versus the consensus of $26.34 million. Sees FY08 EPS of $0.18-$0.25, versus the consensus of $0.18 and revs of $114-$117 million, versus the consensus of $112.8 million.

Oshkosh Truck (NYSE: OSK) 10% LOWER; reports Q3 earnings of $1.19 per share, ex-items, above the consensus of $1.05. Revenues came in at $1.97 billion, versus the consensus of $1.89 billion. Sees Q4 EPS of $0.50-$0.65 versus the consensus of $0.92. Sees FY08 EPS of $3.15-$3.30, versus the consensus of $3.44.

Genoptix (Nasdaq: GXDX) 9.6% HIGHER; reports Q2 EPS of $0.18, ex-items, 1 cent better than the analyst estimate of $0.17. Revenues for the quarter were $27.8 million, versus the consensus of $22.69 million. Sees FY08 revs of $105-$108 million, versus prior guidance of $90-$95 million, versus the consensus of $94.6 million. EPS for the year go to $1.11-$1.16, versus the consensus of $0.98.

General Motors (NYSE: GM) 8% LOWER; reports a Q2 adjusted loss of $11.21 per share, versus the consensus of a $2.62 loss. Revenues were $38.16 billion, versus the consensus of $44.57 billion. GM'S adjusted net loss was $6.3 billion, and reported net loss of $15.5 billion. Results impacted by $9.1 billion of predominantly non-cash special items. Adjusted operating cash flow was a negative $3.6 billion.

Hansen Medical, Inc. (Nasdaq: HNSN) 8% LOWER; reports a Q2 loss of $0.61, 11 cents lower than the analyst estimate of ($0.50). Revenues for the quarter were $5.8 million, versus the consensus of $7.38 million.

Dolby Laboratories, Inc. (NYSE: DLB) 7.5% HIGHER; reports Q2 EPS of $0.40, 10 cents better than the analyst estimate of $0.30. Revenues for the quarter were $154.3 million, versus the consensus of $140.66 million. Sees FY08 revs of $605-$625 million, versus the consensus of $610 million

comScore (Nasdaq: SCOR) 6% HIGHER; reports Q2 EPS of $0.09, 2 cents better than the analyst estimate of $0.07. Revenues for the quarter were $28.8 million, versus the consensus of $27.69 million.
