Akamai Technologies Inc. (Nasdaq: AKAM) 17% LOWER; reports Q2 EPS of $0.41, versus the analyst estimate of $0.41. Revenues for the quarter were $194 million, versus the consensus of $196.72 million. Akamai sees Q3 EPS of $0.39-$0.40, versus the consensus of $0.41. Sees '08 EPS of $1.63-$1.69, versus the consensus of $1.70.
Hologic (Nasdaq: HOLX) 17% LOWER; reports Q3 EPS of $0.33, 4 cents better than the analyst estimate of $0.29. Revenues for the quarter were $429.5 million, versus the consensus of $435.80 million. Sees Q4 sales in the range of $438-$439 million, versus the consensus of $452.56 million. FY08 sales are expected to be about $1.67 billion, versus the consensus of $1.69 billion. Itron, Inc. (Nasdaq: ITRI) 5% HIGHER; reports Q2 EPS of $1.02, 20 cents better than the analyst estimate of $0.82. Revenues for the quarter were $514 million, versus the consensus of $476.38 million. Itron raises guidance.
