Pre-Open Movers 6/11: Agrium (AGU) Higher on Raised Guidance; AMERIGROUP (AGP) Down After Suspending Guidance

Sonic Solutions (Nasdaq: SNIC) 15% LOWER; reports Q4 non-GAAP EPS of $0.08, 5 cents better than the analyst estimate of $0.03. Revenues for the quarter were $34.89 million, versus the consensus of $35.62 million. Sees Q1 sales of $29 million or more, versus the consensus of $32.23 million. Sees Q1 loss of $0.09, versus a $0.01 gain.
Hooker Furniture Corp. (Nasdaq: HOFT) 13% LOWER; reports Q1 EPS of $0.23, below the consensus of $0.40. Revenues came in at $71 million, versus the consensus of $80.4 million.
AMERIGROUP Corporation (NYSE: AGP) 10% LOWER; announced that it is suspending its full-year 2008 guidance of $2.35 to $2.45 per diluted share pending completion of its rate increase negotiations with the State of Tennessee
Qimonda AG (NYSE: QI) 10% HIGHER; The company and Elpida Memory, both leading global memory suppliers, announced that they have signed final contracts for a strategic technology partnership on joint development of memory chips.
The Talbots, Inc. (NYSE: TLB) 7% HIGHER; announced that Aeon Co., Ltd., the majority shareholder of Talbots, has agreed to provide to the Company a $50 million unsecured subordinated working capital term loan credit facility to support its turnaround plan, maturing January 28, 2012.
Agrium Inc. (NYSE: AGU) 6.7% HIGHER; expects to earn between $2.80 to $3.00 diluted earnings per share in the second quarter of 2008, or $4.03 to $4.23 for the first half of 2008. The significant increase from the previous guidance of $1.92 to $2.22 diluted earnings per share for the second quarter is due to very strong results from both our Retail and Wholesale operations, with Retail expected to account for half of the increase. The second quarter consensus is $2.50.
Penwest Pharmaceuticals Co. (Nasdaq: PPCO) 6% HIGHER; Roth upgrades to Buy
Diodes Incorporated (Nasdaq: DIOD) 5% HIGHER; raises Q2 guidance
Oxford Industries (NYSE: OXM) 4.6% LOWER; reports Q1 EPS of $0.59, 3 cents better than the analyst estimate of $0.56. Revenues for the quarter were $272.9 million, versus the consensus of $269.90 million. Sees FY08 EPS of $1.90-$2.05, versus the consensus of $2.35. Sees Q2 EPS of $0.31-$0.36, versus the consensus of $0.48. Oxford lowered its FY08 revs guidance from $1.01-$1.06 billion to about $1 billion, versus the consensus of $1.06 billion. For Q2, Oxford sees sales in the range of $225-$235 million, versus the consensus of $239.49 million.
