Pre-Open Movers 5/21: Solarfun (SOLF) Surges On 'Beat and Raise' Qtr; Virtusa (VRTU) Lower on Results/Guidance

Endeavour International Corporation (AMEX: END) 16% HIGHER; announced that the 6407/8-4S exploration well has discovered natural gas in the Jurassic Garn formation at the Galtvort prospect on production license 348 in the Norwegian North Sea.
Solarfun Power Holdings Co., Ltd. (NASDAQ: SOLF) 12% HIGHER; reported Q1 EPS of $0.32, versus the consensus of $0.16. Revenues rose 529% to $171 million, versus the consensus of $137.7 million. Solarfun Power sees Q2 demand remaining strong, with shipments between 40-45 MW and ASP's around $4.00. For the full year 2008, Solarfun Power raises its previous guidance of 160 MW in shipments to a range of 160-180 MW.
LTX Corp. (Nasdaq: LTXX) 10.9% LOWER; reports Q3 EPS of $0.03, 1 cent better than the analyst estimate of $0.02. Revenues for the quarter were $39.3 million, versus the consensus of $38.8 million. Sees Q4 EPS of $0.00-$0.03, versus the consensus of $0.08 and revs of $36-$40 million, versus $46.2 million.
Adolor Corp. (Nasdaq: ADLR) 10% HIGHER; The company and GlaxoSmithKline announce FDA approval for Entereg.
Dycom (NYSE: DY) 8.9% HIGHER; reports Q3 earnings of $0.14 per share, ex-items, above the consensus of $0.12. Revenues came in at $293.4 million, versus the consensus of $290.2 million. Sees Q4 EPS of $0.18-$0.23 versus the consensus of $0.19. Sees Q4 revenues of $305-$325 million, versus the consensus of $313.4 million. Dycom also announces a $15 million buyback.
Virtusa Corp. (Nasdaq: VRTU) 6% LOWER; reports Q4 EPS of $0.21, 2 cents better than the analyst estimate of $0.19. Revenues for the quarter were $45 million, versus the consensus of $45 million. Sees Q1 EPS of $0.13-$0.16, versus the consensus of $0.19 and Q1 revs of $45-$46 million, versus $47 million. Sees FY08 EPS of $0.70-$0.79, versus $0.90 and revs of $196-$203 million, versus the Street estimate of $208.7 million.

Revenues for the quarter were $255.6 million, versus the consensus of $256.20 million. Sees FY08 EPS of $2.04-$2.23, versus the consenus of $2.15. Sees FY08 revs of $905-$918 million, versus $891.5 million.
China Sunergy Co. Ltd. (Nasdaq: CSUN) 4% HIGHER; Jefferies upgrades to Hold
Tween Brands, Inc. (NYSE: TWB) 3.8% HIGHER; reports Q1 EPS of $0.21, 5 cents better than the analyst estimate of $0.16. Revenues for the quarter were $251.7 million, versus the consensus of $242.04 million. Sees Q2 EPS of $0.00-$0.04, versus the consensus of a loss of $0.02.
AMR Corporation (NYSE: AMR) 3.6% LOWER; Soleil downgrades to Hold
Intuit (Nasdaq: INTU) 3.5% HIGHER; reports Q3 EPS of $1.33, ($1.39 ex-items), versus the analyst estimate of $1.33. Revenues for the quarter were $1.313 billion, versus the consensus of $1.29 billion. Sees FY08 EPS of $1.61-$1.63, versus the consneus sof $1.59. Sees FY08 revs of $3.05-$3.06 billion, versus $3.02 billion. $600 million buyback.

Patriot Coal Corporation (NYSE: PCX) 3% LOWER; announced its intention to offer $175 million in aggregate principal amount of convertible senior notes due 2013. Patriot also expects to grant the initial purchasers of the notes a 30-day over-allotment option to purchase up to $25 million additional aggregate principal amount of the notes.

UAL Corporation (Nasdaq: UAUA) 2.5% LOWER; Soleil downgrades to Sell
Analog Devices Inc. (NYSE: ADI) 1.7% LOWER; reports Q2 EPS of $0.44, 3 cents better than the analyst estimate of $0.41. Revenues for the quarter were $649 million, versus the consensus of $627.24 million. Sees Q3 EPS of $0.43-$0.45, versus the consenus sof $0.43. Sees Q3 revs of $650-$665 million, versus $638.8 million. Raises dividend from $0.18 to $0.20.
