Pre-Open Movers 4/15: Delta/Northwest (DAL, NWA) Higher on Merger; Affymetrix (AFFX) Sinks On Lower Guidance

Affymetrix, Inc. (Nasdaq: AFFX) 35% LOWER; expects total revenue for the first quarter of 2008 to be approximately $170 million, including an intellectual property payment of $90 million. For fiscal-year 2008, the Company has reduced its full year revenue guidance from the previous range of $505 to $525 million to a new range of $490 to $510 million.
Crocs, Inc. (NASDAQ: CROX) 29% LOWER; expects its first quarter 2008 revenue to be in the approximate range of $195 million to $200 million and expects a loss per diluted share in the range of ($0.05) to $0.00, both of which are below its previous guidance of expected revenues of $225 million and expected diluted earnings per share of $0.46 established in February. (Q1 revenue consensus is $223.30 million and EPS consensus is $0.45). CROX also lowerd Q2 and FY08 guidance.
Compuware Corporation (Nasdaq: CPWR) 17% HIGHER; announced preliminary Q4 results: the Company sees revenues of approximately $337 million, versus the consensus of $319.84 million. EPS are expected to be about $0.23, versus the Street estimate of $0.19.
Novatel Wireless Inc. (Nasdaq: NVTL) 12% LOWER; lowers Q1 guidance. The company said revenues for the first quarter are expected to be approximately $91 million, lower than the company's prior guidance of $110 million. The Wall Street consensus is $110.5 million. Non-GAAP EPS is expected to be between $0.16 and $0.18 per share. The Wall Street consensus is $0.22.
Stanley Furniture (Nasdaq: STLY) 9% LOWER; reports Q1 EPS of $0.10, in-line with the analyst estimate of $0.10. Revenues for the quarter were $62.5 million, versus the consensus of $62.70 million. Lowers its guidance: sees a Q2 loss of $0.01 to $0.04, versus the consensus of a $0.10 profit. Sees FY08 EPS of $0.27-$0.38, versus the Street estimate of $0.43.
Northwest Airlines (NYSE: NWA) 9% HIGHER; Announces merger with Delta Air Lines
Avnet, Inc. (NYSE: AVT) 8% LOWER; sees Q3 sales of $4.42 billion, towards the low end of expectations and below the consensus of $4.47 billion. Sees Q3 EPS of $0.74-$0.76, versus the consensus of $0.87. Sees Q4 sales of $4.55 billion to $4.75 billion and EPS of $0.79 and $0.83, versus the consensus of $4.75 billion and $0.92, respectively.
Polaris Industries, Inc. (NYSE: PII) 7.5% HIGHER; reports Q1 EPS of $0.55, above the consensus of $0.47. Revenues came in at $388.7 million, versus the consensus of $370.5 million. Sees Q2 EPS of $0.66-$0.70, versus the consensus of $0.63. Sees FY EPS of $3.36-$3.46, versus the consensus of $3.33.
Kinetic Concepts Inc. (NYSE: KCI) 6.5% LOWER; Announces $600M Conv Notes Offering
Forest Laboratories Inc. (NYSE: FRX) 6.4% LOWER; reports Q4 EPS of $0.90, ex-items, versus the consensus of $0.76. Revenues came in at $990.9 million, versus the consensus of $977.14 million. Sees FY09 EPS of $3.10-$3.20, versus the consensus of $3.54.

Johnson & Johnson (NYSE: JNJ) 1% HIGHER; reports Q1 EPS of $1.26, versus the consensus of $1.20. Revenues came in at $16.2 billion, versus the consensus of $15.83 billion. Sees FY EPS of $4.40-$4.45, versus the consensus of $4.44
PDF Solutions, Inc. (Nasdaq: PDFS) INDICATED LOWER; sees Q1 revenue in the range of $20.0 million to $20.5 million, versus the consensus of . Sees Non-GAAP net loss of $0.01-$0.03. The consensus is $23.93 million and a profit of $0.08.
