Pre-Open Movers 2/8: IONA (IONA) Higher on Possible Offer, comScore (SCOR) Lower on Guidance Mix-Up

TerreStar Corporation (NASDAQ: TSTR) 47% HIGHER; announced that EchoStar Corporation (NASDAQ: SATS), Harbinger Capital Partners Master Fund I, Ltd. and Harbinger Capital Partners Special Situations Fund LP and other investors have entered into a series of separate agreements constituting a commitment of $300 million in investments in TerreStar - with $200 million made available today at closing and the balance dedicated to funding the TerreStar-2 satellite.

IONA (Nasdaq: IONA) 32% HIGHER; confirms that it has received an unsolicited preliminary expression of interest from a third party to acquire the Company, which may or may not lead to a formal offer being made to acquire all of the outstanding shares of the Company.

Aruba Networks, Inc. (Nasdaq: ARUN) 24.6% LOWER; said second quarter revenues are currently expected to be in the range of approximately $40.0 to $41.0 million and non-GAAP net income is expected to be approximately break-even. The Wall Street consensus is $51.5 million and EPS of $0.05.

Cognizant Technology Solutions (Nasdaq: CTSH) 12.7% HIGHER; reports Q4 EPS of $0.36, 5 cents better than the analyst estimate of $0.31. Revenues for the quarter were $600 million, versus the consensus of $594.41 million. Sees FY08 revs of atleast $2.95 billion, versus the consensus of $2.87 billion and EPS of $1.67, versus the consensus of $1.47. Sees Q1 EPS of about $0.36, versus the consensus of $0.32.

comScore Inc. (Nasdaq: SCOR) 10% LOWER; reports Q4 EPS of $0.21, 2 cents better than the analyst estimate of $0.19. Revenues for the quarter were $25.3 million, versus the consensus of $25.18 million. Q1 EPS 12-11 cents versus 16 cents consensus. Q1 25.9 to 26.2 million versus 25.4 million. Full year guidance EPS 55 cents to 58 cents versus consensus of 79 cents. Full year revenue guidance 112.2 million to 113.2 million versus 112.6 million. Deutsche Bank is saying the selling is unwarranted and said guidance was 'in-line' due to taxes.

Coinstar, Inc. (Nasdaq: CSTR) 8% HIGHER; reports Q4 EPS of $0.29, 11 cents better than the analyst estimate of $0.18. Revenues for the quarter were $113.3 million, versus the consensus of $141.21 million. Sees FY08 GAAP EPS of $0.46 to $0.67, which may not compare to the consensus of $0.85. Expects FY08 revs in the range of $800 to $875 million, which may not compare to the Street estimate of $602 million.

FalconStor Software Inc. 8% HIGHER; (Nasdaq: FALC) reports Q4 EPS of $0.14, 1 cent better than the analyst estimate of $0.13. Revenues for the quarter were $24.8 million, versus the consensus of $23.49 million. Sees FY08 EPS of $0.31 to $0.36, versus the consensus of $0.35. Boosts buyback from 2 million to 5 million shares.

CF Industries (NYSE: CF) 6.7% HIGHER; reports Q4 EPS of $2.23, versus the analyst estimate of $1.67. Revenues for the quarter were $852.5 million, versus the consensus of $796.40 million.

NutriSystem Inc. (Nasdaq: NTRI) 5% LOWER; Citi removes from Top Pick list

MBIA (NYSE: MBI) 5% LOWER; sells 82.3 million shares at $12.15.

Brightpoint, Inc. (Nasdaq: CELL) 5% HIGHER; reports Q4 EPS of $0.31, 5 cents better than the analyst estimate of $0.26. Revenues for the quarter were $1.6 billion, versus the consensus of $1.54 billion.

Omniture (Nasdaq: OMTR) 4.7% LOWER; reports Q4 EPS of $0.07, 1 cent lower than the analyst estimate of $0.08. Revenues for the quarter were $43.1 million, versus the consensus of $41.60 million. Sees Q1 EPS of $0.08 to $0.09, versus the consensus of $0.09. FY08 EPS of $0.40 to $0.44, versus the consensus of $0.43.

Tiffany & Co. (NYSE: TIF) 4.6% HIGHER; sees 2008 wordwide sales up at least 10%. The Company is planning for a mid-single-digit percentage increase in net earnings and a low-double-digit increase in diluted earnings per share (reflecting fewer shares outstanding). The Company sees net earnings in fiscal 2008 to increase to a range of $2.50 - $2.55 per diluted share. This compares with an estimated range of $2.25-$2.28 per diluted share (excluding various one-time items) in fiscal 2007 that the Company forecasted on January 11th when it reported its holiday sales results.

DRS Technologies (NYSE: DRS) 3% HIGHER; reports Q3 earnings of $1.01 per share, above the consensus of $0.95. Revenues came in at $836.6 million, above the consensus of $778.1 million. Sees FY08 EPS of $3.24-$3.31 above the consensus of $3.19.

RealNetworks (Nasdaq: RNWK) 2% LOWER; reports Q4 EPS of $0.02, 1 cent better than the analyst estimate of $0.01. Revenues for the quarter were $156.9 million, versus the consensus of $155.26 million. Sees FY08 revs of $612 to $632 million, versus the consensus of $642.3 million and Q1 revs of $139 to $143 million, versus the Street estimate of $157 million.


MasterCard (NYSE: MA) 1% HIGHER; Stifel Nicolaus upgrades MasterCard from Hold to Buy with a $255 price target.
