Pre-Open Movers 06/04: Indevus (IDEV) Sinks On FDA Request; Guess? (GES) Up on Strong Results/Guidance

Indevus Pharmaceuticals, Inc. (Nasdaq: IDEV) 65% LOWER; said, based on a recent discussion with the FDA regarding the NDA filing for NEBIDO, the Company expects the FDA to formally request that the Company provide additional safety data prior to approving NEBIDO.
Sequenom, Inc. (NASDAQ: SQNM) 14% HIGHER; announced positive results from screening studies using its noninvasive circulating cell-free fetal nucleic acid SEQureDx Technology, which enables the detection of fetal aneuploidy, including Down syndrome from maternal blood.
Guess? (NYSE: GES) 9% HIGHER; reports Q1 EPS of $0.51, 5 cents better than the analyst estimate of $0.46. Revenues for the quarter were $489.2 million, versus the consensus of $451.59 million. Boosts FY08 eps $2.40 to $2.48 versus consensus of $2.44
TIBCO Software Inc. (Nasdaq: TIBX) 7% LOWER; said preliminary second quarter results indicate total revenue is expected to be in a range of $147 to $149 million, versus the consensus of $154.1 million. The company expects license revenue for the quarter to be approximately $56-57 million. Non-GAAP earnings per fully diluted share are expected to be $0.05 to $0.06, versus the consensus of $0.08.
SAIC, Inc. (NYSE: SAI) 5% HIGHER; reports Q1 EPS of $0.25, 2 cents better than the analyst estimate of $0.23. Revenues for the quarter were $2.37 billion, versus the consensus of $2.26 billion. Sees achieving targets in FY09, backlog at end of Q1 $15.1 billion.

Reaffirms Q2 EPS of $0.15-$0.19 versus the consensus of $0.16. Sees Q2 revenues of $828-$846 million, versus prior guidance of $850-$868 million and the consensus of $853.8 million. Sees FY09 EPS of $1.45-$1.58, versus previous guidance of $1.42-$1.56 and the consensus of $1.45. Sees FY09 revenues of $3.738-$3.804 billion, versus the consensus of $3.82 billion.
