  • Helix Energy Solutions (NYSE: HLX) announced the sale of Helix RDS, its subsurface reservoir consulting business based in Aberdeen, Scotland, to a subsidiary of Baker Hughes Incorporated for $25 million. Helix RDS is a provider of reservoir engineering, geophysical, production technology and associated specialized consulting services to the upstream oil and gas industry. Helix Energy Solutions acquired Helix RDS in November, 2005.

  • Web.com (Nasdaq: WWWW) announced that it has acquired substantially all of the assets and select liabilities of privately-held Solid Cactus, an award-winning eCommerce site builder and solutions provider. The acquisition of Solid Cactus enhances Web.com's strategic position as a comprehensive, "one-stop" resource for small and medium-sized businesses (SMBs) seeking online marketing and eCommerce solutions.
