- Electronic Arts Inc. (NASDAQ: ERTS) received a second request for information from the FTC regarding its proposed acquisition of Take-Two Interactive Software, Inc. (NASDAQ: TTWO).
Take-Two has resisted EA's overtures.
- Affiliated Computer Services, Inc. (NYSE: ACS) announce an agreement to acquire Orbital Sciences Corporation's (NYSE: ORB) Transportation Management Systems (TMS) business for $42.5 million.
TMS is the nation's leading provider of Global Positioning System (GPS)-based fleet management systems, with trailing twelve months revenue of approximately $50 million as of March 2008.
- Industrial Distribution Group (Nasdaq: IDGR) said its Board of Directors intends to withdraw its recommendation of the pending acquisition of the Company by an affiliate of Platinum Equity Advisors, LLC , in order to accept and recommend the definitive offer received from WESCO Distribution, Inc. to acquire the Company for a price of $11.75 per share in cash to the Company's stockholders.
