Notable ETF Movers: PGM, XLV, SMH Up; UNG, KRE, FXI, AGQ, XME Down

HIGHER:
- iPath DJ AIG Platinum TR Sub-Idx ETN (NYSE: PGM) Up 6.10%, as platinum futures are down about 1.4%. Investors might be looking for exposure in a different metal other than gold and silver, as many commodities have been having a good year so far.
- Health Care Select Sector SPDR (NYSE: XLV) up about 0.50%. Major holdings include Johnson & Johnson (NYSE: JNJ), Bristol Meyers (NYSE: BMY), and Pfizer (NYSE: PFE). Bristol Meyers announced a deal to develop Alder's arthritis drug today.
- Semiconductor HOLDRs (NYSE: SMH) up 0.4% today. There were some positve analyst comments in the sector today. Major holding (13.6%) Applied Materials, Inc. (Nasdaq: AMAT) report tomorrow.
- United States Natural Gas (NYSE: UNG) down 3.75% today on higher temperatures, a weaker dollar, and a weakened Ida tropical storm. Prices of natural gas fell 4.4% to $4.467 per trillion BTUs.
- SPDR KBW Regional Banking (NYSE: KRE) Down about 1.6% today. Other than a general selloff of financials, one notable holding in the ETF is East West Bancorp (NASDAQ: EWBC), which makes up about 2.62% of KRE's holdings, is down today. East West had a sizeable gain yesterday after news that the bank would acquire about $10 billion in assets, and today the stock is trading down about 4.10% after investors are realizing some of the profits.
- FTSE/Xinhua China 25 Index Fund (NYSE: FXI) down about 1.19% today. This emerging market ETF is comprised mainly of Chinese companies specializing in Financials, Telecom, Basic Materials, and Oil and Gas. The ETF jumped yesterday and hit a new high, so investors may be selling off slightly.
- Ultra Silver Proshares (NYSE: AGQ) down 3.7% today. Investors ran the ETF up last week, as AGQ saw gains of about 11.5%. Silver tends to be a little more volatile than gold as well, and has had a greater gain YTD.
- SPDR S&P Metals & Mining (NYSE: XME) down 1.5% today. Commodities are lower today after weeks of gains.
