Notable ETF Movers of the Day 10/31: (GDX) Higher; (IBB) (XES) Lower

Gainers:

Market Vectors Gold Miners ETF (NYSE: GDX) gained 2.15 percent to 52.35. Yamana Gold (NYSE: AUY) reported earnings on Tuesday and shares are higher by 6.4 percent, making it a top performer in the sector as trading commenced on the NYSE after a two-day outage. Yamana has a 5 percent weighting in GDX.

Decliners:

iShares Nasdaq Biotechnology (NYSE: IBB) declined 2 percent to 132.25. A number of drug companies reported earnings this week, with Pfizer (PFE) rescheduled for Thursday. Of note, Biogen (Nasdaq: BIIB) reported earnings after the bell on Friday and shares are lower today by 3.8 percent today.

SPDR S&P Oil & Gas Equipment & Services (NYSE: XES) declined 1.7 percent to 32.50. Shares of Cameron International (NYSE: CAM) declined 5.5 percent to 48.40 after the company announced disappointing guidance for the fourth quarter. Cameron has a 2.65 percent weighting in XES.
