Market Vectors Coal ETF (NYSE: KOL) gained�0.7 percent to 25.65. KOL climbed over 13 percent in the past month, in part because of a rally in natural gas prices. Coals stocks also got a boost from presidential candidate Mitt Romney’s comment “I like coal” during a debate with President Obama on Oct. 3rd, with additional bullish comments made on Oct. 16th.
Market Vectors Oil Services ETF (NYSE: OIH) gained 1 percent to 41.50. Shares of Transocean (NYSE: RIG) climbed 2.15 percent to 48.30. Shares of Transocean are higher by 5 percent in the past 5 trading sessions.

Market Vectors Gold Miners ETF (NYSE: GDX) declined�2.15 percent to 52.20. AngloGold Ashanti Ltd. (Nasdaq: AU) declined 5.75 percent to 32.90. Yesterday it was reported that S&P may cut AngloGold’s credit rating to junk, and shares declined as a result. AU has a 4.85 percent weighting in GDX.
